Don't want to dig up the dirt too deep but if all had been like what MK Gandhi planned and wanted, we would have had the same old undivided India. Curse Mountbatten.

Funny thought it is but I was thinking the same way as a kid. Wasim Waqar, Sachin, Inzy, Kapil, Imran, all in one team ha ha ha. We would have got the likes of Shakib, Gul etc. in the team. :lol

That video was on some serious subject...

I really miss India. Happy Independence.

I used to celebrate Independence day when I was young and naive. As I see it now, my country is anything but a free place. We are today in grips of terrorism, foreign dictation and poverty. We are not free. Only the masters have changed. Pakistan is today ruled by Military (implicitly these days). Half of the country was severed due to first dictatorship. The rest is in tantrums thanks to Zia and Musharraf. The western world has supported dictators for their own interests. The hypocrisy of forcefully establishing democracy in middle east and supporting likes of Musharraf here in Pakistan could not be any more blatant and shameful.
I will celebrate independence when we have hundred percent literacy and are ruled by elected members and not by paid servants of state. As of now I am as much a slave as were my great grandparents.
