I guess the biggest criticism would be lack of patience. Let Jimmy bowl 8-8-0-0 first spell, the runs will come against the others. Give Jimmy the first hour.

If we go by 2019 Ashes, Australia scored around 190-odd and England were bowled out on 67. Then Australia scored around 230-odd leaving England with 359 to win. So Stokes's absence is going to cost England to some extent if they let India score much.
