Who will win the Test series?

The batting by England clearly shows that there is no demons and this was definitely not a "78 all out" pitch including the conditions. India just batted spectacularly bad and completely lost the advantage that they had by winning the toss (yes, it was the right call to bat first by Kohli).

Did the team get overconfident? Possibly... But India started off average in SCG in 2019 after winning a sensational MCG test. But India somehow salvaged a draw at SCG, which kept them on track to win the series. Well, India are in a far worser situation here at Leeds where England has wiped off the deficit without losing a wicket an is on target to batter India out of this match tomorrow.

From what I read on Cricinfo it said that the pitch had a little bit of grass on the surface. I haven't seen the major part of the day so not in a position to say anything else.

Sure did. Really pleased for Hameed, too.
Agreed. Full credit to the lad; regardless of how much the thought of him facing up to Cummins, Hazlewood, Starc and Pattinson might be concerning, the amount of work he's put in to get back absolutely deserves this reward

I cannot post WhatsApp stuff here, but I had predicted this. I never felt England were out of it in England. As long as Anderson and Root are breathing, the series is alive. Jimmy Anderson is in my opinion very very vastly underrated. We have a lust for pace but for me he's the closest specimen to Wasim Akram and that in itself is a birthright to greatness. Yes, I am an India fan but it is magic to see him bowl. In general, just love test cricket in England. Much needed tonic for the series and a great reminder for Indian pundits to not make idiotic bold predictions.

By whom? Tell me and I'll fight them :lol

What a day for England. Bowl the opposition out, get a lead without losing any wickets and end the day with the openers getting back into form. Don't think it could have gone any better than this for them.

Time and again I've made mention of the fact that India (90% of the time) falter right after putting in a great performance. Nothing new there, today was no exception. England simply returned the favour of the final day at Lords. Brilliant bowling, mediocre batting.

Just finished day of work and only just seen score - you haven’t posted for 3 hours ? :p
For the sake of my sanity, I decided to stay away as much as humanly possible

I still fear Anderson bringing out his best in the later part of the series. We have 8-days of rest for the players and could prove to be enough for a bowler like Jimmy to get back to his best.
Exact thing happened yesterday.

Indian fans waiting for a the trifecta: India lose, Kohli gets no runs, Ashwin not picked
Hey, he did win the toss for a change...so that offsets the trifecta :p

On another note, I'm just trying to look at the numbers game here. If India manage to bowl England out within the next 100-150 runs (best case scenario and a long shot), that still leaves them with a deficit of around 200, which is a huge mountain to climb. Don't think there is way out here for India.
