There are too many options out there and it is going to be a challenge to see who fits in where. We have Prithvi Shaw, Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, Manish Pandey, Ishan Kishan, etc. and we only have a few spots in the batting order. Rishabh Pant has shown this WC that he is here to stay and should get better with more experience (and with the next WC in India, Pant is going to be a massive factor).
Jadeja has to stay in the plans as he is just 30 and with his incredible fitness and fielding, cant see why he cant play in 2023. Until one or both of Kuldeep and Chahal drastically improve their batting skills, I'd not play both of them together for a consistent period of time. India has to start asking for more from Kuldeep and Chahal as far as their batting is concerned. Or else, find a new leggie who can bat (can Markande or Rahul Chahar bat?). Also get Krunal Pandya in and have him compete with the spinners. India does not need both their spinners to be leggie. One good leggie with a left arm spinner or an off spinner should be good. I am confident finger spinners will make a comeback in international cricket as this 'leggie' fad will blow over soon.
Deepak Chahar should hopefully come into fray soon and should compete against Shami and Bhuvi. Deepak Chahar can bat and is as attacking with the ball as Shami is. Also Khaleel and Saini should bang on the door too.
