India v England 2008

Shows how much Dhoni trusts him as the all rounder in the team, bowling him 2 overs.

He's got a wicket at least. Dhoni's using him as a trick bowler and as a partnership breaker. There's no such thing that all-rounders need to bowl 5-8 overs minimum. It's the matter of getting the damage done on the opposition. Yusuf didn't let Flintoff settle from the first ball and took the advantage of him in the next delivery, knowing that Flintoff didn't face him Before. Once again, it's the matter of doing the job for the team, not the overs he has bowled. And since the third power play was taken, the fast bowlers eventually came in and did their job.

Experimenting is the thing, Dhoni already got Yuvraj, Harbhajan bowling at the ends and since they were doing well considering Yuvraj got smashed early on, and dhoni wanted them to do their job and they were bowling the overs fast and letting the batsmen only taking singles. After Yuvraj finished his spell, the situation could turn dangerous with England having the power play. So he brought in Yusuf pathan who's known for taking surprise wickets. Many would think that Yusuf wasn't the right choice when two destructive batsmen are at the crease. But Yusuf can get the ball Sometimes to deviate a bit which can result in batsmen getting edges. It has happened twice today, first, the flintoff wicket, just deviated off it's line just a bit which made the ball to hit flintoff's pads. The second, Against shah, which pitched out-side off stump and spun a bit which resulted as an inside-edge off shah's cover-drive.

So, yusuf is a valuable bowler at times, and gets the necessary wickets far easily sometimes and it has happened today.

Whatever. He's always been crap, he is crap and will continue to be crap.

Just watching the end of England's innings now, what is up with Ishant Sharma and bowling no balls? He's bowled 5 in the innings, 2 back to back ones, and then that crazy full toss wide that went for 4. He seemed to completely lose it as soon as he's attacked, didn't look as good in this game as he does in the Test arena.

England need to bulid up pressure and perhaps bring some fielders inside the circle to cut off singles. There is still a chance of an England victory but they'll need to take wickets.

Sharma gone :D Was there to be hit to be fair to Sharma, just played it wrong. If we can get Sehwag we're in here. Yuvraj normally struggles against spin, so Swann will have to bowl to him, KP's getting some turn as well, he's bowling better than Samit tbh. England won't win if India bat the full 50 overs, so it's imperative to get wickets here, especially that of Sehwag.

King Pietersen added 9 Minutes and 17 Seconds later...

What a catch by Collingwood. Couldn't even believe he'd caught it himself, so this is why he's still in the side :D. That's Sehwag gone, England in the ascendancy here, just need to get Yuvraj out now, I'd say England are on top now, 2 quick wickets have changed the game.

I'm sure Pietersen was hoping to get Yuvraj with Flintoff, but he'll take a gimme. Still, bowling around the wicket on a tight line at pace should be the way to test Yuvraj's technique.

India have won, but at least England have pushed them a little this game. Flintoff bowling really well, but even with Yuvi gone i just can't see England winning.

Yuvraj is gone :D. This is England's chance, all we need to do now is get Dhoni and we should win. This is going to be a good end if England get another wicket. England desperately need to win this game, will be series over if India win.

India have scored 50 in last 5 overs, and lost 1 wicket, they still have plenty of overs,so they can easily get there.

Whatever. He's always been crap, he is crap and will continue to be crap.

Oh well ........crap. Time will tell.

India Win the Match by D/L method.

YEAH!! WHERE'S THE DANCE FREDDIEEE??

This is ridiculous, there are perfectly good lights in the stadium, so use them, having the match end like this is a farce. The half hour lunch break was stupity, the break between innings in a Test match is 10 minutes, so why is it half hour in ODi's? Pretty annoying end to the game, we didn't get enough runs again though, so we've only got ourselves to blame. We need more runs, Pietersen needs to start scoring and hit Yuvraj-esque form and then we need to get wickets. Broad bowled well, as did Flintoff, seems we've only got 2 reliable bowlers atm.
