India v England 2008

I think it's safe to say Yuvraj bottled that one. He looked completely out of sorts against our Fred.

But anyway its been a great day for England but let's not forget it's England and it's somewhat of a speciality of ours to throw positions like these away.

And the Barmy Army our class. Outsinging India all day. Well done lads.

records/ history has its importance.

It depends on the mindset of the players. Lets see. I still believe that Dhoni along with Bhajji and Zaheer can bring India out of the doldrums. This is a good fight for India unlike the one against Australia where we didnt face this sort of challenge.

HAHAHA, bye Yuvraj. This is the real version of the game. Go back to mickey mouse cricket

He has at least three hundreds in test cricket and has batted in tough conditions before in tests. He is trying to settle in on Saurav's spot, so one innings doesnt make him all that bad although he is not the perfect replacement.

Harbhajan and Zaheer have shown what they can do. Dhoni is still in there and he is captain here. England have the upper hand. They are not totally in charge.

A draw might be difficult, but well done England. No matter how badly they get mauled in other forms, when it comes to test cricket, they are always a force to reckon with.

Swann might be stealing the headlines, but I thought the fast bowlers bowled really well, maintaining a tight line and bowling at a height that was uncomfortable for the much famed Indian batsmen.

Yesterday India had the edge, but today the visitors have certainly turned it around. Need to get India out quickly tomorrow though.

harbhajan and dhoni for a 100 run partnership tomorrow

dhoni doesn't half take some body blows, that last bowl by flintoff that he took on his chest looked painful

Well that was unexpected. Really thought India would be 200/0 at the close of play.

Kudos to England's players and KP's captaincy which was excellent today.

Yuvi is an idiot. How can such an experienced player still lose his cool like this? He shouldn't be playing Tests if he doesn't have the temperament for them. If he fails this series, then let him be an ODI specialist, it isn't like has hasn't had the chance.

Dravid is in real crap form. And every failure makes me want to see him do well even more. He must be feeling like crap, hope he doesn't go and announce his retirement after this.

But yea, Tendulkar and Laxman played lazy shots as well. Dravid in bad form, Viru being Viru, I think only Gambhir and Yuvi were done in by good bowling? England were tight, India lost their heads...

I won't start on Yuvi, instead I'll rest my hopes on Mahi, I reckon he may pull a bunny out the hat, and hit a ton. Fingers crossed though.

"The situation was precarious when Yuvraj Singh entered, and it demanded a true Test player to graft and battle his way through to guide India to safer waters. But yet again, Yuvraj Singh fails when it counts. He's wasted the perfect opportunity to cement his place in the side. Shame, the boy's got tremendous talent," says Rohan

Hmmm, I wonder who that sounds a lot like, hmmmmm.

A fantastic day of test cricket. Not in the modern sense but very much in the proper sense indeed. Not many runs coming but plenty of action. 11 wickets were lost today and the team which looked in command last evening seems to have lost control over the situation completely. England at the moment are on top of things with India not even half way through the English total. The English quickies peppered the Indians with some good bowling but the damage was done by the debutant when he picked up 2 wickets in his very first over in tests. England will look to restrict India to as less as possible and if they get a decent lead, India will certainly find things tougher.

No one would have imagined that India will be in trouble & they will loose 6 wickets in less than 2 sessions.

Yes India on backffot here,Harbhajan can play,Dhoni cant go out here and play attacking shots,he should play the waiting game, when there is chance he should go for it,bwcause when Aus came he batted well,he didnt play waiting game that time, and said in an interview "I played my natural game, before that i was not playing my natural game, thats why i didnt get runs in tests",yes that true, but this format is diffrent,if you stay there at crease runs will come, and if wickets tumble like 23 in a nover, game changes, then even 300 looked difficult for Eng,but somehow they managed...Like waise India should first reduce the lead..

Bhajji scored two fifties against the Aussies, and averaged more than Hayden, White, Ponting, Clarke, Watson and Haddin! Not to mention he outscored and out-averaged Dravid. So yea, I'd say he's in good form :p

Dhoni should look at Brendon McCullum for a way to bat in this situation. Remember the 2nd Test against Australia, New Zealand were certain to lose by an innings but McCullum adjusted his usual style and was there at the end. Dhoni needs to adjust like McCullum did. As an England fan I know the chokers they can be so a good first session tomorrow and India are level.
