True the show is very much stage managed and is a money spinner.
Ever wondered how many bucks has Airtel/Idea managed to make in Indian Idol.With unlimited number of votes per person,i think the format,especially the voting format ought to be changed.

Dude,you should have seen the last time eliminations when the bloke named amey date went out.There was a huge uproar and the judges wanted a re-match !
Imagine that !

Yes,the show has got emotional value but I feel that the contestants last time round were much much more better than the present ones.I mean they had some appeal atleast.

yes iceman, i saw that show where ameya daata was ruled out in favor of anuj. the judges got up and went out. that show was a perfect case of stage management where the judges instead of going back to their homes, went into a bathroom and were discussing with each other and also the camera was capturing their discussion. seriously do they have cameras inside bathrooms? it showed that the walk out by the judges was also stage managed! they wanted to create a sensation by walking out and they partly succeeded in that the show was much talked abt!

I totally agree. No one in this series is deserving. I mean the last time all the contestants were working hard to reach the top. They couldnt afford to make a single mistake, but this time its all about performing, and no one cares about the singing. If Karunya doesnt win, I'll be really dissapointed. I believe He is the only one who atleast can sing a song in tune.

Yes,Karunya is the perfect singer, but knowing the ' Indian Janata ' anything can happen.
With Sandeep getting the entire state of Rajasthan to vote for him and what with Hindi channels not being so very famous with the South Indians,you never know.

Karunya has been the best so far. His selection of songs is brilliant, and he sings them so well.

But yeah, we dont know abt our janata, so keeping fingers crossed. but i am not too impressed with this show. everything is managed. i mean, the crying of the judges also seems artificial to me!

However,Karunya fell short of the reqd votes and thats why the audience has been given a week's deadline more.

Sandeep Acharya is new Indian Idol! But he wasn't exactly basking in the glory. I think he knew he didn't deserve it. But Karunya knew he wasnt going to win and considering he comes from South India, it's pretty surprsing he even came this far.
