Bengal seems to be in deep trouble. They must play 5 specialist bowlers along with the useless Menaria to complete the criteria of 6 bowlers. That leaves them with 5 batsmen who are capable to score runs. By the looks of it, Cook and McCullum are permanent, and if they are injured, Bengal has very little option. Now with Trott & Yousuf out, they can only depend on Sarwan to slog in mid-overs. Big trouble, big big trouble.

If I were managing Bengal I'd have declined that trade too and rather get Yousuf out, and get in some decent bowler like Clint Mckay,Sohail Tanvir(who can bat a bit too), etc.

Umar Akmal gets rated better than Sarwan who hasn't played in any form of International cricket since 2011 and to add to that he can be a part time keeper to be McCullum's backup. I am surprised that Kolkata picked Sarwan and not him.

Their local players are quite decent though.
