Afridi didn't get out playing a silly shot?! Times are changing!

yes, i was also not expecting that shot while bowling :) Unlucky to miss century just by 4 runs though!

Role swapped! ;)

Good work by Afridi; could've scored at a faster rate (I think that's what he was trying towards the end), but well done for a good knock. Yousuf playing amazingly well- If Inzi gets going as well then India are in big trouble. 15 overs to go...300+ a serious prospect here.

Non-Stop Yousuf
( Pakistan Entering Last 10 Crucial Overs )

yousufnonstopxa3.jpg

Dravid once again decided to make a gambe by stopping Tendulkar and bringing Kumble all of a sudden. In another end, Agarkar is being operated by Indian skipper. But still, Yousuf is unaffected by changes!

Yousuf has become unstoppable going on hammering the bowlers. He is playing excellent shots all around the ground making the fielders to run behind the ball.Dravid was confused totally as he doesnt know what to do to stop this aggressive approach of Yousuf. May be Dravid might miss Pathan who have taken Yousuf on many occassions.

Pakistan is mainly depending on this man now to set a huge target for India. With players like Razzaq still to come, huge pressure is on India now.

Dhoni Misses Stumping

stumpinmissedfj4.jpg

It looked like Inzi is looking bit uncomfortable in other end. It seems, Dravid brought Kumble mainly becos of Inzi :D and infact Kumble succeeded by a maiden over against Inzi! But this can turn any moment as Inzi is a powerful striker of the ball especially against spinners.

Also, in Kumble's over, frustrated Inzi when attempting to go over the bowler by coming down the crease, missed the ball completely and due to pressure, Dhoni missed the golden chance. The ball infact went behind him but the fielder was able to get it before ball touching the ropes. But the stumping wud have applied pressure on Pakistan.... Dhoni missed a big wicket! Kumble and Agarkar have got one over to bowl to complete the spell.

Well, 40 Overs ended and the last 10 Overs is crucial for any ODI game. At the moment, Pakistan is nicely placed that too dangerous Yousuf entering this crucial stage is definitely making Dravid to press the panic button. Indian bowlers had to get some wickets now to get a chasable target!

Pakistan :- 243/3(40)
Inzi : 15*(22)
M.Yousuf : 72*(56)

Yousuf Threatening The Bowlers!

Brilliant batting by Yousuf. Inzi takes a bit of time to settle in, but he's invincible when he gets going! Dhoni probably missed the chance of the innings by failing to stump out Inzi- Will that blunder come back to haunt him?

Pak in a wonderful position right now; I'm predicting a score round about 320. With Younis Khan and Razzaq still to come, we're looking very strong! Last ten overs- Expect some fireworks!

Target :- 319 For India
( Younis Khan's Excellent batting In End Overs )

With ten over remaining, Pakistan was looking around 320-330 to set a strong total for India. But Agarkar and Kumble had a great over to end their Ten Overs spells. Infact Kumble once again got maiden over against Inzi. It was two consecutive maidens for Kumble against Inzi. while,Agarkar striked with the important wicket of Yousuf.

Unfortunate End to Yousuf's Great Innings!

yousufoutti7.jpg

Its becos of Inzi's struggle against Kumble ( that produced an maiden over ), the pressure started mounting on Yousuf to increase the scoring rate.

Yousuf started missing few deliveries against Agarkar's simple straight deliveries... Ajit immediately bowled an stump to stump line delivery, that made Yousuf to go for a pull shot resulting in an unfortunate bottom edge striking the stumps!

Agarkar was delighted to get this wicket as Yousuf remained as a main threat for India. Dravid was delighted most to get rid of this run machine! Yousuf made his way to pavilion and recieved standing applauses for an excellent innings :clap This brought Younis Khan to joing struggling Inzi at the crease.

Younis Khan, An Excellent Role Till End!

youniiskhanwb7.jpg

Younis khan, who joined the important later overs of the game, was straight away targetting the boundaries. He played excellent shots all around the ground and his main intension of keeping himself on strike was clear. Once again, the scoring rate for Pakistan started increasing after the great two overs from Agarkar and Kumble.

Infact, it was Munaf and Sreesanth operating their last overs. Munaf seemed to target the stumps but Sreesanth was smashed away. Younis Khan smashed back to back sixes in one of the overs of Sreesanth. Dravid's hopes of continuing with Sreesanth was shattered.

He brought Powar with a great risk to operate along with Munaf. Inzi finally played some good shots and the score rate was increasing overall. Dravid was clueless of Younis Khan's approach. At the same time, there were some misfields from Agarkar near the boundary! Infact Younis Khan took the role of Yousuf that relieved Pakistan dressing room.

50th Over - 16 Runs From Razzaq
( Inzi dismissed by Powar )

inzioutok8.jpg

First Ball :- Powar bowled an norma offbreak and Inzi tried to play a simple shot to take single, but it went straight to the fielder and hence no runs.

Second Ball :- Frustrated Inzi, tried to go over the top for huge but was caught by Yuvraj near the boundary. Powar strikes with the huge wicket of Inzi. Inzi, who was uncomfortable at the crease, made his way to pavilion and that brought Razzaq on strike.

Third Ball :- Powar bowled an arm ball & Razzaq tried to play over the cover region but missed it and hence it went to Keeper's hands. Dravid was delighted that there were no runs scored in last over which is an important over for any team in ODIs. But soon the happiness was shattered by Razzaq.

Fourth Ball :- Powar tried an offbreak and Razzaq played an same shot over covers and this time, it was perfectly placed and the ball went to spectators resulting in a huge six!

Fifth Ball :- Powar mixed an arm delivery which was quick and Razzaq with excellent footwork, played in straight for a four. Dravid was disappointed but this happens generally in last overs.

Final Ball :- Razzaq went for a huge shot in leg side and the result is once again a six. What a way to end the innings... Powar was disappointed to give away sixteen runs in last over inspite of giving away no runs in first three balls.

Last Over(50) :- 0,W,0,6,4,6

That brings the finish to Pakistan innings with Razzaq scoring 16 valuable runs off last three balls. So Pakistan setting 319 as the target for India which is not going to be easy but at the same time, it cant be said impossible becos of the flat nature of the track.

Wow! What a guess!

inzi didn't play well against the spinners but great batting by khan and great 4 ball 16 by Razzaq could possibly turn the match??

( Innings Break Guest Area, A Special Edition )

Ravi Shastri :- Hello and Welcome to Innings Break of India-Pakistan match where Pakistan have set the huge total of 319 runs. This reminds us the first match where England almost made it but the bowling attack of Bangladesh and Pakistan certainly makes the difference.

Ravi Shastri :- We have to wait and see how India responds... But now for the moment, since this Ind-Pak match remains as one of the greatest match in Cricket like Eng-Aus, we have decided to include a Guest Area, an extra show in this innings break. Also the normal Guest Area at the end of the match wud also be there. Now Sunil Gavaskar and Geoffrey Boycott are waiting to start the show :)

S.G :- Thanx Ravi, as he said, this is a special added edition in Innings break mainly becos, its a India-Pakistan match! We have Geoffrey with us too. Well Geoffrey, which is ur fav to win this? ;)

G.B :- Nope, I am not opening my mouth at the moment... Its anyone's game considering the pitch conditions. :) Well Sunil, we wud now go to Guest Area straight away and lets keep our analysis section after the match in fourth umpire.

S.G :- yeah right! Now let me tell some info about the guest before we tell his name. He is one of the great supporter of Pakistan cricket and infact was writing to Star Sports about the team right from the time of the team selection. So we decided to bring him on in this edition and lets see what he thinks about the way Pakistan played as he was very much discontented with teamXI selection.

G.B :- He shd be happy i guess :) Ok, now lets reveal who that guest is.. His name is " Mr. Blazer "...who is,as Sunil said, one of the greatest supporter of Pakistan and likes Afridi the most ;) Lets contact him and straight away get into interaction.

(...... Contacting Mr. Blazer ....... )

S.G :- Well, Very Good evenining Blazer. We are happy to have u in this special edition of " Guest Area ". Now Pakistan have batted their 50 overs and have set the huge target for India. Now our question is,

Is 319 going to be enough for Paksitan becos of the flat track?

spguestarea1vm2.jpg

spguestarea11mo8.jpg

S.G :- Well about the decision of choosing to bat, Inzi must have definitely been in dilema what to decide... But in the end, so far, batsmen have done their job to set a good total and now its in bowlers hands.

G.B :- As i said, I am not opening my mouth now :) For Pakistan, its bowlers turn now to shine and for India, they have to mentally strong first before they come into the field to bat! Its going to be a tight contest and lets see what happens.

G.B :- Ok, Blazer, here is the second question from me,

Razzaq scored 16 Runs from four balls. Do u think, Razzaq shd have been promoted up instead of Inzi who struggled a lots?

spguestarea2jf1.jpg

S.G :- I wud also go with him.. Inzi has a huge experience! He is well awareo of how to handle pressure situations. Even though he struggled, as Blazer said, he gave a solid support in one end. Even in the last over, he tried to give strike to Younis in first ball.. So promoting Razzaq ahead of Inzi wud always remain as a risk!

Also Geoffrey, what made u to ask this? :)

G.B :- well, the score what Pakistan were expecting when they reached 40th over was around 330 that wud have applied pressure further on Indians. So i thought like, 20 ball fifty from Razzaq ,which he is capable of, wud have done the trick!

S.G :- But the things have gone well for Pakistan so far.... Now is the final question for u Blazer,

Finally, Who is going to be the key batsmen which Pakistan shd look to dismiss early?

spguestarea3bv8.jpg

G.B :- He is correct :) Tendulkar is the man for India.. If Akthar or Asif are going to dismiss him early, i have a feeling that there are very less chances for India to win then... If Tendulkar stays at the crease, then Pakistan is definitely going to be in trouble!

S.G :- So Sachin is under lots of pressure than India now... Well, we still remember the knock played by Sachin in 2003 World Cup against Paksitan... If he starts off like that, pressure wud be on Pakistan....

That comes to the end of this show... Well Thanx Mr.Blazer for sharing ur excellent views with us... And Thanx Geoffrey too for being with us! Now its time for Indian Innings to start and all excitements coming LIVE on StarSports! We wud be back with the usual GuestArea show after the match is over. Till then, Bye from the studio.

G.B :- Bye :)
