STREET TALK ( Ganguly's Edition )

Great descision by the selectors. Ganguly has been in top form in English domestic cricket, and fully deserves this opportunity.

S.G : well Mr.James, I agree its one of the big opportunity for Sourav... He is already made a confident comeback now.... Lets see what happens in next session!!!

Ganguly is the right call up foir the Indians.
He can play that vital innings and will prove a hard nut for the West Indians to crack.
He has played lots of matches and is very experienced and therefore can help Dravid in making decisions in the field and encouraging the younger players out there.

S.G : You are right Mr.Treva about that experience.... Its first abroad tour for India under Dravid's captaincy!!! So Ganguly might help the current skipper from his past experience!!! well, Sachin is also there who is a another greatly experienced person...But its always nice to have experienced players leading in front of talented young players!!! Also ur prediction of "vital innings" has turned right At the moment, Ganguly is the key person playing an crucial innings now.... ( crucial in both the ways....one to prove his ability and other is rescual role :cool: )

He definately is capable, but it is more a battle of nerves now than skill.

S.G : Well said, Mr.Vaughan!!! He was looking very nervous when he came out of the dressing room to bat... At the start he was looking little uncomfortable but its looking very very fine now!!! I think his boldness and confidence to go at the bowlers especially when the team is in crisis should be appreciated.... At the same time he shd not end his innings like Sachin.... It wud be great if Sourav can take his team atleast to a competititve score!!!

as i told that or may be the one who's fans want him to be in the team I am a big fan of him ...i predicted that right

I beleive that Ganguly is a bit of a nut, and a hard one to crack. Maybe even a peanut to be precise.
Ganguly should be placed back on the team because he may go nuts if otherwise.

S.G : :laugh:laugh Thats a nice saying.. but u got the valid point at the end!!! Mr Duff, u have a great sense of humour....Well said!!!

It will be interesting to see if Dravid and Ganguly, and more importantly, Chappell, can get along. I think this could go two ways--India convincingly wrapping up this Carribbean tour or completely sabotaging it to tiny bits.

It'll be even more fun if Ganguly doesn't get selected for the starting XI, and then gets dropped for the next tour. Not fun, but unfair.

S.G : Mr Sohum, there is nothing to do with the current skipper.. One thing should be clear that "its always nice to see all the players in the squad including coach and physio cooperate and get along well....becos Cricket is a team game and not an induvidual game like Tennis"

Also Dravid is doing well now as a skipper...So its spirit for all players to help him out in making his skipper's mission successful!!!

And about that unfair point, i agree with u!! it wud have been true if that thing as u said had happened becos Sourav is looking gud at the moment!!!

Ganguly will add a lot of experience and solidity to this Indian squad. Great selection that! I think the people of Bengal must be rejoicing to the hilt

S.G : Thats true Mr.saisrini !!! As i said before,its always nice to have experienced players in front leading and supporting the talented young players!!! And also, already celebrations began in Bengal as soon as the team was announced this morning!!! :cool:

Great decision in including Ganguly in the squad not only will he strenghten the batting lineup can be very useful in bowling aswell... now will ganguly be accepted in the indian team after a remarkable win over the Windies. Chappel and Ganguly have to put their differences aside as this will benefit the team. Ganguly is due a big score and hopefully he will get this!

S.G : About his bowling Mr. Sohail, Ganguly sometimes is very handy in bowling department!!! I think this pitch that is supporting the bowlers a lot, should favour him!!! Also Ganguly might be aiming for a big score to bring back his confidence and also helping the team to get to an good score!!!

S.G : Nice to see people like u(Mr. Bala) supporting Sourav especially when he is not in form!!! These kind of supports initiates the confidence level actually!!!

Good signs for india hes a good player with the bat and is alright with the ball.

S.G : Really greatest sign for India in the current situation(i.e after loosing early wickets)!!!

Unlike alot of people i hate Ganguly and hope Dada never comes back home to the Indian team after failing miserably.

S.G : :cool: It happens in cricket when u expect some player to do well but he fails most of the times i.e we get disappointed a lot!!! But the things at the moment looks diiferent....

One of the best players on the offside to have ever grced this game!

S.G : Yep Mr.Bala, Ganguly is a Very good offside player but he has to do well at the shortpitched deliveries also!!! Lets see how he is handling those bouncers in this match... He has done quite well to survive the quality pace attack (though there were chances missed)!!!

All I know is that Ganguly isn't a good 20/20 Batsman for Northants

S.G : Well Mr. hondeyho, the things at the moment makes him to look like a matured cricketer as he is taking the whole responsbility on his shoulders!!!

GAVASKAR's VIEW​

As everyone said, this is a real huge opportunity for Sourav to grab it...Already a nice platform is set to utilise the chance. Team's situation was worst when half of the side went to dressing room...but the things have improved a bit due to aggression of Sourav at the end of session!!! I personally feel that Sourav is still not comfortable against the bouncers... He has to play carefully and has to build strongly from here to keep his position safe in the team!!! Still there is time for the world cup...So Sourav should use this innings as a baseline(ofcourse still he is there at the crease) and carries his good confidence and skills to the world cup!!!
