AUSTRALIA IN COMPLETE CONTROL AFTER 15 OVERS!!!​

After the early wicket, Lee and Mcgrath bowled superbly and troubled both the batsmen frequently... In the contest between bat and the ball, the ball was winning every moment especially with the conditions there!

Lara Vs McGrath

As soon as Lara came to the crease, Mcgrath was excited and started a great over against Brain Charles Lara suprising him with a bouncer that struck Lara's ribcage... But nothing was serious in it.. Mcgrath excahnged few words with Lara and went to bowl his next delivery.....

LARA IN DEFENSIVE MOOD

After that he played very watchfully without taking any risks... Lee was at his level best in taking another wicket but was quite unlucky... But he was bowling extremely well by firing the deliveries at the batsmen with great pace.... Only singles were rotated that too with great difficulty!!!

McGrath First Victim

Gayle played an lazy shot finding the fielder M.Clarke in the circle itself.... McGrath was very much delighted with his first wicket!!! Lara was frustrated becos he knews that Gayle has capability of firing at any pitches and was not happy with Gayle's sacrifice!!!

GAYLE DEPARTS!!!

McGrath exchanged few words with Gayle when he returned to pavilion!!! the Whole Australian team were delighted as they know the importance of this wicket.. The condition there was very ideal for the bowlers and batsmen( whoever it may be) will definitely hate to bat on this wicket... And asutralian bowlers making use of this opportunity and npw in the dressing room, the coach must have definitely appreciated Ponting's choice to bowl first

CHANDERPAUL JOINS LARA

Chanderpaul arrives at the crease and joins Lara.... After Ten overs, the first bowling change of Stuart Clark was made... He also made an impressive start to his spell... Then after that Watson was also brough at the other end to join Clarke in bowling!!!

Bowlers clearly gaining upper hand here and batsmen managed to rotate the strike whenevr possible resulting in a slow run rate around 2/over at the end of 15 overs!!!

AUSTRALIA DOMINATES IN BOWLING SO FAR...​

The bowlers utilised the the low bounce nature of the pitch in the efficient way.... S.Clarke and Watson were very clever in controlling the pace and maintaining the strict the line denying the Windies batsmen " THE RUNS "!!!

Low Bounce Nature Of the Pitch !!!

Batsmen were the most irritated ones on the ground.. They were striking really hard and the two things frequently happened,

1) Batsmen are completely decieved by the low bounce
2) They strike hard but the ball stay near or atmost giving the possibility of one run!!!​

Bowlers especially Watson utilised this to a great extent... Ponting was quite contented to deny the runs at the moment.. Even the slip fielders were removed as the ball was not moving that much as it did in first 10 overs!!!

LARA PLAYING WITH HIS MAXIMUM STRENGTH...

Lara was the only batsman at the crease playing with full confidence but unfortunately he managed to get only two boundaries in 80+ ball innings so far!!! But he was found hitting the ball with the maximum strength never mind even if its only a single... But at times, lara also struggled especially when Hogg was introduced into attack... He completely had no clue whether the ball will turn or keep low and as a result Lara maintained his patience!!!

CHANDERPAUL, One of the Worst Innings so far in his Cricket Life!!!

Chanderpaul should be having the feeling like what was he doing at the crease..becos he hardly managed to place tha ball with the bat..Most of the times, he was decieved... Also he managed to hit a few cracking shots and the amazing thing he found was that the ball stayed near him after hitting hard

Chanderpaul also played 80+ balls so far but managed to cross a double digit score...( i.e batting on 12 atm ) This is terrible in Windies point of view.. The coach must be really thinking to carry him or not to the next match... But atm, noone is sure whether its Chanerpaul's fault or pitch's fault or bowler's cunningness to keep the ball low.... The things will be clear when Aussies bat!!!

The bowling card so far looks amazing... Australian players,supporters, coach are all satisfied so far... The run rate at the moment is just below 2/over after 32 overs!!

Windies need to do something to produce atleast 150 plus with 18 overs remaining... Windies fan's only hope is Lara still on the crease.....

TWIST & TURNS...

Everyone frustrated with the way Windies were going on... Lara seems like breaking the patience.. But on the other end Chanderaul was still uncomfortable!!! Hogg in one of his spell, cunningly decieved Chanderpaul resulting in a wicket!!!

CHANDERPAUL DEPARTS!!!

Hogg delivered a low pitched ball along with the turn spinning into the batsman that made Chanderpaul misjudge the line decieving him and ball managed to strike the stumps taking the bails off... Hogg was delighted and also the entire team.... The strange thing is Windies supporters were also delighted to see the new batsman Sarwan coming and it looked as if they want Chanderpaul to return to pavilion after seeing the most frustrating knock of just 13 from 89 deliveries!!!

LARA TAKING THE CONTROL FROM AUSSIES!!!​

After that Lara started to hit all over the ground never mind whoever the bowler is... His only aim is to get runs for the team in last 18 overs left as he was well settled... Sarwan also was in good touch with the bat giving the strike to Lara!!!

Lara in one of the attempts of going in the air gave chance for the fielder to take a tough catch but was dropped in the end... Inspite of this, Lara did not stop and brought his 50 in 101th delivery he has faced so far.. It was a slow fifty but came in time when Windies needed from him!!!

Lee's Second Spell

As Ponting recognised that Lara started firing, he brought Lee as the bowling change for Hogg... Sarwan was at the striker's end... He gave a excellent welcome to the second spell of Lee by hitting the boundary that went one bounce over the rope!!!

Then Lara faced the third delivery after Sarwan gave him the strike..& this time it was Lara's chance to hit boundary with the superb offside drive!!! Lee was frustrated and showed that in the next delivery by bowling a short pitched delivery that struck Lara's ribcage again!!! This looked like a good reply by Lee for Lara for the boundary!!!!


Now the run rate has increased a bit compared to what they were going till 32 overs!!! Now the current run rate is exactly 3/over that looked far more better than the previous rate of two!!!

Still Brian Charles Lara is there at the crease for the remaining ten overs....

I even kept the wide spread fielding for them but CPU maintained its patience and the thing that amazed me is, Lara was striking hard but the ball didnt even cross the inner circle most of the times!!!

Getting Lara out is very difficult as he is playing all around whatever the delivery is bowled!!!

Suren said that he had kept a wide-spread field.The CPU plays defensive till the last 10 overs.Then he hits the ball high and get caught.All Suren needs to do to make the Aussies win is to keep fielders in Mid On, Mid Off, Mid Wicket, Long On, Long Off and pitch near the foot oF Lara to dismiss him.
