It's all over for India now, Aussies have been unstoppable. Aus vs WI in the final then.

Great story!

you still think theres any indian spectator watching the match anymore? I dont think so. they must have left the grounds, and now the
only thing remaining in the match is the quick tumble of the tailenders

lol excellent comment :clap :p This makes me to remember the semi finals of Ind-SL in 1996 world cup ;)

Aussies Into The Finals
( Disappointed Performance by India )

With just three wickets remaining, Aussies were very comfortable in qualifying for India! Aussie fans were enjoying a lots with their Kangroo dolls and Australia flags waving well at the moment and they were very much excited to see the victory soon!

Fans Excited a Lot!

aussefansvs9.jpg

Ponting's move of bringing back Watson worked well in the last and Indian batting once again started collapsing after some good entertainment provided by Powar! Watson striked again with the wicket of Dhoni!

Dhoni ~ Victim of Watson!

dhonioutnw1.jpg

Watson bowled a straight delivery which Dhoni wanted to play it straight too.. but missed the line marginally and that marginal miss resulted in the wicket! Dhoni was clean bowled! Watson started celebrating this wicket and Aussies were very conformed now about this victory as the only specialist batsman also walked towards the dressing room!

Gilchrist's Amazing Catch

munafdismisedyy3.jpg

Ponting though stopped Hogg, allowed Symonds in other end! Symonds striked for the first time with the wicket of Munaf!

Munaf Patel edged the delivery bowled by Symonds and Gilchrist by making an amazing dive towards his right took an excellent catch! Aussies became so much excited that only one wicket left now to celebrate the victory and that also came sooner!

Aussies Won By Huge Margin!

auswinmx4.jpg

Sreesanth who was the new batsman did not stay that long! While attempting to make a second run after edging to third man, Sreesanth was runout!

" Thats it..All over for India " was quoted by Geoffrey in the commentary box! India were all out for a low total that pushes Aussies to face Windies in the finals! The entire Aussie team was happy with the performance through out and they have infact won the both games against India!

(With Sunil Gavaskar & Geoffrey Boycott )

S.G : Hello and welcome to the Cricket Cafe which u all know that its a after match analyzis show! As usual, Geoffrey is with us to discuss all the views! Good evening Geoffrey!

G.B : Good evening Sunil :) well before u ask me, i will say... Today's match was fully one sided game that was in Aussies favour right from the start!

S.G : :) Thats what i was about to ask u! Well, before that, what to do u think about Dravid's decision of bowling first after toss? Was it a repeat of WC2003 finals where Ganguly made a mistake there and Dravid here?

G.B : No i dont call it a mistake what Dravid did today! It was a bowling track.. as we saw how Aussies bowled! Indian bowlers once again fumbled with the line and length! Harbhajan was impressive and infact he was the only one to be impressive! Others just made a big fumble! Indian bowling suddenly showing great talents and sudenly showing worst talents.. This is not a good sign with Champions Trophy next!

S.G : This is what something had to be done by the coach... Also about Aussie batting?

G.B : Well, the one innings that impressed me was Martyn's quick fire! Though Hayden n Ponting batted excellently, the line of the bowlers were not that great at that time! But at the time when Martyn batted, the bowlers were really trying to get reverse swing especially Munaf & Sreesanth but Martyn didnt allow the bowlers to settle in the last! All the batsmen played well including Gilchrist!

S.G : Also this is a great comeback match for Hayden... He was being omitted in ODI side for some reasons and now he proved that he can bat as well in ODIs and it seems to be good sign for Aussies in Champions Trophy! Also now about Indian batting... where do u think that it went wrong?

G.B : Right from the start.. Sachin Tendulkar seems to be good when the small target is in front of him but whenever he sees the huge target like this, he starts to apply pressure on himself and gets involved in unnecessary troubles! Today, he lacked confidence from the first ball and as soon as i saw his approach towards the first ball, i guessed that he will be dismissed soon! This is where mind games play a vital role! McGrath understood this and utilised it very well!

S.G : Also other Indian batsmen were also not comfortable! Powar seems to be promising but it was too late! But all credits to Aussie bowlers who performed exceptionally well! McGrath and Lee, both the opening bowlers, did an splendid job!

Bowling Map

bwlingmapmb3.jpg

G.B : That tells u the rest... Really impressive and they just gave away 36 runs from 13 overs which is below 3 Runs per Over! Indians wud have went to bat with negative thoughts i guess becos, the first and last fifteen overs are very crucial in ODIs and India didnt even try to utilise it! Also they shd have tried to play full 50 overs which they didnt! India needs maturity to handle pressure!

S.G : Also all the bowlers performed well for Australia!, This is what their bowling card tells,

Bowling Card

ausbwlincrdjc0.jpg

G.B : This proves how good is the track for bowling and Indian bowlers just messed it up in first innings!

S.G : Now Geoffrey, we are moving to the three special segments of the show! The first one bing the Master Balster of the Day!

mbtitleyh7.jpg

hayen100knockrn2.jpg

S.G : Though there were number of options including Martyn and Ponting, Hayden is Star Sports Master Balster of the day becos after a long gap from ODIs, its not easy to play like that! Excellent innings from this huge man! well done Hayden :clap

G.B : yeah, thats the crucial innings too as Aussies were struggling in opening slot in this series and Hayden provided the ideal solution for this! Nice innings and I enjoyed a lot from commentary box! :)

S.G : Now moving to Safe hands Award!

safehandstitleuk2.jpg

powardeprtsbq9.jpg

S.G : Gilchrist had some few outstanding catches, but this one of Lee dismissing Powar wins the safe hands becos its not easy for a fast bowler to make dive like that after having an seven overs spell initially!

G.B :Infact the entire fielding display was top class today!

S.G : Now the last segment, Super Moment of the day!

smtitlemc8.jpg

sachinoutuk1.jpg

S.G : The dismissal of Sachin Tendulkar is the super moment of the day! He is the only man for India who was in top form right from the start of the series! Getting him out initially applied the brakes on India at the start itself!

G.B : And thats why, its been called as a Super moment :)

S.G : There u are Geoffrey! ;) Ok we are running out of time, Whats ur final word on exciting finals between WestIndies and Australia?

G.B : Well, both the teams are in great form... but Windies have slight mental advantage becos they have defeated Aussies in a row twice in this series! But its going to be an exciting finals and both the teams have equal chances!

S.G : And that ends the analysis of the last match of DLF cup in group stages in which India was defeated by 219 runs and made Aussies to reach finals... Also Thanks Geoffrey for the nice analysis! And thats all from the studio,we will join u in next cricket cafe for the Finals of DLF cup between WestIndies and Australia! Now we will take you directly to the presentation Ceremony with Ravi Shastri! Stay Tuned On Star Sports!

G.B :Bye from from Cricket Cafe Team! :)
