Banks Strikes, A Sweet Revenge!
( Symonds Departs, but Martyn still there! )

After a huge over from Banks, Aussies started focussing on the big target of 300 plus! Lara brought Collymore back into attack and was hoping to get some wickets and expecting batsmen to make some mistakes! Also Martyn reached his half century in next over!

Martyn's Half Century!

martyn50gb5.jpg

Martyn batted steadily through out his innings and reached his fifty with the single on the offside! Marto raised his bat towards the dressing room and everyone applauded him for the patient and matured fifty! Martyn was very consistent through out the series! With Symonds and Marto in great touch, Lara felt the alarming danger ahead of him! But Lara made a brave move by allowing Banks to continue inspite of the huge fireworks ( in Banks's last over ) by Symonds! This infact worked for Windies!

Symonds, The Big Man for Aussies departs!
( Sweet Revenge from Banks )

Symonds was very much excited to see Banks again bowling to him! In the first ball bowled by Banks, Symonds stepped down the crease and tried to hit a huge one but unfortunately it found the top edge and the ball went straight to Windies skipper! Lara took the catch at ease and was excited in seeing Symonds walking towards the pavilion!

This was the huge blow for Aussies becos Symonds was scoring at a great rate! Lara and his team men were excited with this big man's departure! Banks was the most happy to get a nice revenge for the blasts in previous over!

Windies In Celebration!

windiscelbak9.jpg

Windies now have to focus on Martyn who was well settled! Their main intension was very clear in restricting Aussies below 260s! Lara is bit relieved as the most attacking batsman(Symonds) who seemed to threaten the bowlers departed!

Watson and Martyn are currently batting at the crease with seven more overs to go!

Aus :- 229/5(43)
Martyn : 55*(71)
Watson : 1*(3)

Symonds : 58(36) Dismissed by Banks ( A Nice Revenge )

getting symonds wicket was essential, and 300+ now seems a little doubtful, but surely possible.

Nice update there mate Great presentation really liking your work amazing work as usual
:cheers

50 Overs Completed
( Challenging Target Set By Aussies )

Well, the first 50 Overs have finished and Windies managed to control Aussies below 300 but still, Aussies were able to obtain the challenging total at the end! The main thing Windies did was getting rid of Martyn soon after Symonds got out! Having Marto stayed there, it wud have been a different scenario but Banks once again striked with the crucial wicket of Martyn!

Martyn ~ Responsible Innings Came To An End!

martynoutof6.jpg

Martyn seemed to be well settled but was very unfortunat for not being able to stay till the end! It was Banks who striked again with the main wicket of Martyn!

Banks tempted Martyn with a slow off break and Martyn after a long time decided to break his silence and attempted an huge sweep in legside with the intension of getting the maximum but Bravo, who was near the boundary, made an excellent dive and was able to get hold of the ball resulting in the amazing catch! Martyn was very much disappointed and made his way back to pavilion with unsatisfied look! His intensions of staying till the end was very clear but was unlucky to be caught brilliantly by Bravo!

Windies were happy that they got rid of another dangerman too and everything seemed to be under Windies control at that moment! Hogg arrived at the crease joining Martyn!

Watson ~ Another Victim of Banks!

watsonoutpc2.jpg

Watson didnt stay long too! He fell into the trap set by Banks and Windies team! Infact Watson's dismissal was similar to Martyn!

Banks once again attempted an slow offbreak and Watson thinking to accelerate the scorecard, went for the aggressive sweep shot but it resulted in the Top Edge! The ball went in air and suddenly there was a huge dive made by Chanderpaul and it resulted in an amazing catch! Chanderpaul took an unbelievable catch flying in air and this made the Windies team even more happy!

Windies looked to be in total control and also they have worked hard in the field throughout the day so far!

Hogg ~ Changed The Things Around for Aussies!

hoggknockhx5.jpg

It was expected that Windies woud finish off the Aussie tail enders but Hogg played an excellent knock that changed the direction again in favour of Aussies! Hogg went blindly over the bowlers playing some aggressive shots in straight and leg side! At the same time he played well against Banks... He used his feet well while playing late cuts and cover drives!

Hogg made a quick 25 from 16 balls and he continued till the end of Aussie innings and was dismissed atlast in the last ball of 50th over by giving a simple catch to Sarwan!

ScoreCard

ausscrcrdbi1.jpg

With the little entertainment at the end by Hogg, Aussies managed to get the challenging total of 273 on the scorecard which is believed that. its a tough target for Windies! But Windies have been working hard through out in the field and we have to wait and see how Windies responds to this challenging target!

Target For Windies :- 274 from 50 Overs To Win DLF cup!

I never noticed that! I guess it was due to that green bg of the whole picture! Very sharp observation Trev ;)
