Bangladesh Still In Good Position
( England Pick Another Two Quick Wickets )​

Well, Sajid Mahmood was the only bowler who seemed to threaten the batsmen. Hoggard and Broad were brought back but Broad once again went for runs. Hoggard, except that break through, wasnt much effective. But England was able two more wickets before 40 overs and they also achieved what they needed before 40 Overs, i.e, Getting Rid of Omar! But Omar reached Century before that!

Omar's Wonderful Century!

Omar reached his century with the single on off side and proudly raised his bat towards the crowd and dressing room! He recieved warm applauses from everywhere. Even some of English players gave a warm handshake to Omar. This has been a brilliant batting display by Omar that too in the important tournament. But the joy didnt last long.... Collingwood put an end to the fine innings!

Huge Blow For Bangla:- Omar Departs!

Omar who was needed for Bangladesh till the end, departed by a slow delivery by Collingwood. Collingwood was brought into bowling by Strauss and it worked for England.

Collingwood bowled a slow delivery and Omar tried to go over the top but didnt get enough distance resulting in a simple catch by Broad! Omar nodded his head as he wants to stay till the end. But its over, & he made his way towards the dressing room. Omar recieved a great applauses from everyone. Well played Omar, What an Innings this has been! His innings took Bangla on to Top till now but now it needs someone to keep the momentum going! Saleh replaced Omar at the crease.

To everyone's suprise, Saleh started blasting from the ball one he faced. Saleh got 18 Runs from Collingwood ( 0,6,4,4,0,4 ) that forced Collingwood to be out of the bowling attack! England bowlers once again got panic and Strauss was confused a lots! ( and infact shd have cursed the person who prepared the pitch )

Mahmood Strikes For England!

Understanding the aggressive nature of Saleh, Mahmood teased him with the short pitched delivery in off side and Saleh fell in the trap! Saleh tried to go over the top in offside and it looked like a big six for a moment, but due to the marginal mistiming of the shot, didnt get enough distance that resulted in the simple catch to Flintoff who was standing near the boundary!

Saleh who was continuing the momentum left by Omar also made his way towards the pavilion. Mahmood atlast got a wicket but he truly deserves more than this as he is the only bowler who was threatening the batsmen in batsmen paradise! Aftab Ahmed replaced Saleh at the crease.

Well, Bangladesh entering the last 10 Overs of the game which is going to be crucial part of the innings!

" Can England restrict Bangladesh below 300? " is thinking now among English fans!

UnBelievable Target Set by Bangladesh
( Ashraful Suprised English Bowlers )​

It was Ashraful who converted the great start by openers to a great finish in batting! He played extremely well against all the bowlers and carried on till the end of 50 overs. There was a solid partnership between Aftab Ahmed and Ashraful till the end.

Sajid Mahmood, who was the only impressive bowler finished his Ten Over spell too. Other bowlers struggled a lots in getting the line correct. Hoggard,Broad and Flintoff continued the remaining last overs but were ineffective.

Aftab Ahmed was mainly interested in giving Ashraful the strike and infact did that job well. Ashraful was just blindly going over the bowlers. The ball was flying all around the ground and Strauss cannot believe the things happening in front of him!

End of 50 Overs

Flintoff's Last Over(50th Over) :- This was an exciting over for Bangladesh that fetched 20 Runs for them. Ashraful went for five boundaries leaving only one dot ball in that over. Flintoff was frustrated as he is known for his reverse swings that too in sub continent pitches but the current pitch is completely against the bowlers. Twenty Runs in the last over made Bangladesh total to look like a huge one now!

50th Over :- 4,4,0,4,4,4

Bangladesh finished their innings with 322 Runs for the loss of just Four Wickets. Main credit to the Pitch that favoured batsmen to a huge extent. Openers ( Nafees & Omar ) did an exceptional job giving a great start and Ashraful made a nice touch to the finish in the end... But still England's batting to come! Atm, there is bit of pressure mounted on English team as its a knockout but their only hope is the Pitch now! Also its a great suprise that Bangladesh performed so well today which noone in the stadium expected ( including Bangladesh fans )

Innings Break Chat
( A short Interview with Sajid Mahmood )​

R.S : Welcome to the Innings Break of the first match in the Champions trophy between England & Bangladesh. Now we have Sajid Mahmood with us who was the only bowler to impress all!

R.S : Well Sajid, u bowled extremely well but unfortunately u didnt get support in other end! How was the track when u started to bowl?

Its completely a flat track... No movement and i consider it as " completely a enemy for the pace bowlers " This made me to concentrate on my line and length alone & it worked well!

R.S : When u were given the ball, Omar & Nafees were on fire... but still u managed to control them.. how did u do that?

As i said before, the basic line and length helped me. I was just trying to maintain the stump to stump line that must have made batsmen to find little difficult.

R.S : Well, do u think that pitch might change under lights in the second innings helping bowlers atleast a bit?

I dont think so.... But the dew factor can play a role which might make the bowling little tough further, as it wud be difficult to grip the ball while bowling. Apart from this dew, i dont think that there will be any major change in this flat track conditions!

R.S : So England have a good chance to win?

Our bowlers tried their best and now its turn for our batsmen. Hope they wud do well and the first 15 Overs is going to be crucial!

Technical Problems Delaying The Start
( Improper Functioning of Flood Lights delaying England's Innings! )

Some of the lights suddenly stopped functioning in one of the stadium lights which is causing a minor problem now to the start of England's innings! But alternate arrangements are taking place currently and the delay is expected to be for Ten more minutes!

Well, the two Umpires are already in the field and also both the captains are with the umpires!( Infact Strauss is padded up ready ) The umpires are clear in their decision that unless the lights start working again,start will be delayed! But there are no indications of reduction of overs or Target as its mainly a technical problem!

So we will be back after a short break for all the Live Actions of England's innings! Stay Tuned!
