India's tour of Australia - January 2016

Looks like MS Dhoni is receiving some hate around here since Rohit Sharma made 170 odd. I have said this before, I'll say it again- There is no question that Dhoni the captain is past it. Not in terms of temperament or leadership, but ideas. Is he done as a cricketer? We only saw a glimpse of his batting and from what I saw I'm convinced he'll be the force he was again, may be till the 2019 WC. He looked fit, hungry and crucially when he hit the ball, it stayed hit. His keeping also seemed slightly more agile, though his keeping has always been under rated. Hand the leadership to VK.

Rohit said that even 340 scores are not safe anymore, and I say that with the state of Indian bowling right now he is damn right. :)

And I say, we have to remember that 434 was also chased by SA with Aussie bowling so where does our our bowling stand?

^ That was a one off, I am sure that Aus bowling didn't have a lot of 300+ plus chased down against it. With the Indian bowling line up, it seems defending a total, even 450+ would be a rare event.

Yeah remember the games, who can forget Tendulkar's epic 175. Next highest score 59 :facepalm.

But I meant that the line up where SA chased the world record total, was against during the era of Gillespie and Lee, and Warne, etc and I am sure in that era AUs would easily defend 300+ totals.

While somehow BBL manages to keep them entertained because it involves Aussies. :p

As @grkrama posted the crowds turning up for BBL is being seen as proof of cricket's revival, but when the crowds turn up for IPL its seen as the end of test cricket, and thus cricket :D

You remember one of those keep calm and ... memes going around on the internet. Someone should do -

Keep Calm and Blame BCCI :D
