I wanted to start a League for Planet Cricket Users where a user or group of users takes control of selection and management of each international team.
I will run the games using Lambourne Games International Cricket rules and player cards on IC Helper.
The idea is we start in 1981/2, with the international teams available at the time, then move through the 80's, and 90's, up until the present.
I may let a user take control of South Africa for Rebel Tours or an 80's Zimbabwe if anyone is interested.
The idea is we pick teams from the players each team had available in real life at the time, taking into account age, form, experience, ability, and if the international teams were actually using those players at the time.
I want players to do a little bit of research to pick squads of players that were available at the time (you can always pick anyone available you like though), then take into account pitch and weather conditions when choosing teams and squads.
I will use the player cards from International Cricket when I run the games, though if anyone you want to select is not covered I can create them using New Faceless Ones stats (Sri Lanka may need a few fringe players early on).
There will be injuries, and suspensions, as GM I will decide those, but I will randomize so as not to favour anyone.
Players can organize tours amongst themselves as they see fit, if you really want to take Zimbabwe for a 5 Test tour of Sri Lanka in 1992 you can.
B Tours in the 80's and A Tours in the 90's will also take place, it will be up to managers to select their squads for those.
