IPL and ICL must compromise for the sake of players.

Do you agree with me?

Why can't BCCI compromise on ICL. Why are they so stubborn. I think the laws they are making every now and then are ridiculous and are infact an act of monopoly. If ICL agrees then there can be a Two tier system like English Football league. IPL would be Elite league and ICL would be lower league. Let both competetion run. Relegate two teams from the bottom of IPL to ICL and promote two top ICL teams to IPL. Then allow transfer of players between IPL and ICL. This would only improve the quality of cricket seen in IPL. Why cant BCCI see this. With the relegation system in progress, there would be competetion in IPL even for 5th and 6th positions. Thus there would be a reason for a fan to support his team even if they doesnt have any chance to top the group in the penultimate games of the season.

Just to summarize here are my recommendations:

1) ICL accept the tag of lower league and BCCI removes the ban from ICL.(lower league doesnt mean their teams are any bad,as they would get promoted in next season).

2)Allow transfer between ICl and IPL.

3)A player should not be allowed to sign contacts for two T20 teams of two different leagues as those two teams might play against each other in Champions league and this would only create more headache for player.

4)Doing step 3 would permit a better transfer window. Allow the T20 teams to choose whether they wanna release their player for International match or not. It should be up to them completely.

5)Let there be a All Star game at the end of season between a All Star Team of IPL and ICL. Just the icing on the cake for the season Finale.

6)Do not change the cheerleaders dress:happy even if some political group object.:p:D

I can't think of any more suggestions. Would post them when i can. In the mean time, lemme know if you agree with me on this one. Give your suggestions too.

I don't know if that exact plan would work, but something which unites the two would be very good. At the moment the situation is a mess which needs sorting, fast

I wouldn't agree on all your points but yes some sort of comprimise has to be met, if I had it my way both tournaments would be cancelled and cease to exist I really don't see the need for such tournaments.
If some of this money spent on players was evened out amongst all players in India then there wouldn't be any real need for the comps.
I hope the ECB doesn't go through with their plans as it would mean that a large proportion of the year would see the IPL and the newly renamed P20?, I think thats what they've called it, and this would further ruin international matches and the international calender

Agree with all except number 3. If that happens you will drain the domestic leagues of their best players. Everyone who can will only play for the ipl teams. The best players won't be playing in their domestic competitions anymore because ipl can pay a lot more than the other local competitions around the globe.

I meant that players should only be allowed to play for only one T20 side. However they should be free to play for their domestic teams in First class matches.

BCCI really needs to unite these two leagues. Banning the ICL did nothing good to world cricket. Instead, it ended the intl career of all-time star players like Bond, Yousuf, Bashar etc etc.

You really see any provincial side accepting that?? 20/20 is what makes them money. If they contract someone they will want him to play 20/20

Yeah agree with you totally. Also in addition to what KC said banning not only ended intl. players' career but also destroyed the youngsters hopes of playing for intl. side. Once those players cried in an interview stating that they came in with the dreams of playing for INDIA but BCCI had demolished their dreams.

Here's a compromise - the ICC start controlling world cricket (which is apparently their job) and broker a compromise. Why is it that the BCCI have to agree to a compromise? The ICC have the actual power to make the ICL unbanned, they want to make the ICL unbanned, so just do it already!
