IPL - Going 3D and Online Youtube

Read that on Cricinfo. Its not for USA audience though (damn!). For all other audience, IPL is going to be free on Youtube. Thats actually very good! With HDTV's offering Youtube on their TV's, people can watch the games directly streamed to their TV without any hardware inbetween (or streamed to their Blu-ray players which have Youtube streaming). Wish this comes for international matches too. If they can have free streaming of cricket on Youtube and its supported by ads inbetween, it would be great.

I hate the IPL I honestly believe it is killing the true nature of cricket. Yes it may be extrememly entertaining but it takes away from cricket itself. I said this before T20 is not cricket at all. Just to see complete slogging and to see a batsmen praying for a six isn't what cricket is. I mean for god sakes, Pakistan is the best T20 nation in the world they made it to the finals the first time and won the T20 world cup the last time.
This is why we should get rid of this crap called the IPL, the reason I believe that Australia is such a great nation when it comes to cricket is because they will never stop producing great test cricketers. There team doesn't care about T20 all it cares about is the ODIs and the Test format of cricket, this is why MODI....get the hell outta cricket your killing us man.

Okay just to say something about this. Most definitely I am not one of the people I have spoken many times maybe not on this forum on how I think IPL is killing cricket. I really don't care the Pakistan got kicked out all I cared about it is how IPL is killing cricket as a whole.

Yea if you are going to watch it at home, but I dont think they are going that detail. They are just broadcasting in cinemas first before they spreading out to pubs, hotels and homes.....

Explain. What changes have you seen in the quality of cricket that explains that that IPL is killing cricket?
All the IPL glitz and glamour, is all part of T20 cricket (its a little more in IPL, which is actually a domestic competition). So India has the right to promote their domestic competition the way they want to. Also, we dont see such things in ODI or test cricket. Also if you talk about the change in approach of the players in tests and ODI's after T20 came, then it can be a good thing and a bad thing. It leads to more results in tests. We see more runs being scored and more wickets fall. And all that is part of the T20 evolution, not the IPL evolution.
So I dont know how the IPL is killing cricket. Yes, its making players select between country and club. But that could be a good thing too because now the countries will be forced to pay their players better in order to retain them. And also, we could have the truly patriotic guys play for the country and thereby have players who really are passionate playing for the country than players who are just there for the money and fame.

Interesting how you didn't post anything on the actual topic at hand. If you want to slag off the IPL or T20 cricket in general, there are plenty of threads doing that already so I suggest you dig one up and add to the pile.
Any further posts bashing T20/IPL for the sake of it without actually responding to the 3DTV/YouTube streaming portion will be deleted.

Oh I read both.
It says 3D will be offered in pubs and bars as well - normally pubs and bars use the normal cable / satellite feed to my knowledge.
Therefore there may be a way for us normal people to access it.

With 3D tv entering the consumer market they will eventually show it in pubs, bars etc. For now its only the cinemas where you can see 3D.
