After going through Ollie's comment , even i feel better now . feel for Broad though , i guess his test days are over atleast for the year to come if he tends to play IPL

We can't even watch them in county cricket
They are going to much better off playing some County Championship to get ready for Indian test Series. While India will be bashing it in IPL. This might not have worked out really for Stuart Broad tbh. Struggling to keep his place in the test team, and now he will be away when Tremlett and Finn etc. will be playing county cricket.
I can .
Tbf though, aren't the hosting of the IPL and the Indian Test Series fairly far apart? Isn't the IPL held in April/May and the Indian test series is at the back end of July into August.
I'm not overly bothered about English players being picked or not being picked because to me this league is still very hit and giggle rather than something serious. This isn't cricket, it's economics.
this is why player retention should have been up at at least 8, and maybe even a full XI.
teams want the continuity, there was some team building going on, guys were forming understandings, managements were finding a balance. why make everyone go through all that again?

I have a feeling Colly's retirement has helped him out a little..
