IPL IPL Player Auction 2011

I think there are lot of international players rather than national players to pick that's why we see a lot of international players unsold.

Well at ten internationals per team, and ten teams, that's 100 international players. And there are a lot of international players that are easily in the top 100 in the world, but are going unsold, that's what's puzzling me.

There is seriously way too many foreign players in this auction. Was it like this in the very first auction back in 2008??

Bargain buy for 80,000 that. Randiv is one of the most underrated bowlers going around.

Only 4 can play so you will not see teams going with more than 7 foreign players.

They can always sign them during the season at low price. ;)

Chennai have gone for Randiv at just $80,000. Thats a very smart buy. But Chennai now have 8 overseas players in their roster.

Well thats what makes the IPL a farce, it dilutes the whole competition. Because you need 7 Indians in your side, even if they are crap players they will get bids. I guess you can't blame them, it is there domestic tournament... I guess???

Shah brought for 200k, when there are plenty of better batsmen with lower base prices, hmmm, confusing...

Why oh why did we get Styris? And we did our best to F up and get Jogi again.

We got both Jogi and Tyagi, really bad ones! But Styris is a good buy only. He can be solid and can accelerate when needed. And for T20, his bowling should be quite useful.

We also got Kulasekara and Randiv. Decent buys too!
