I think I'm supporting KKR now. Shakib, RTD, Yusuf, Gambhir, Kallis, BALAJI!. Bunch of players I like. Manoj Tiwary and Brett Lee too.
RR are bizarre. Only Indians in the squad are Pankaj Singh and Rahul Dravid.
And Kochi have wayyy too many internationals. Same with Pune. They're not going to be able to use all of them; they need more Indians.
Mumbai's back-up bowling is decent. If you assume Pollard, Symonds, Malinga as being certain in the starting XI, they then can play McKay and Munaf, along with Bhajji. Not bad at all.
Some good cheap picks from Bangalore in van der Wath and Pomersbach. Mithun is a solid choice too as far as Indian fast bowlers go. They continue to be the smartest bidders. They need a couple more Indians, which they'll get from the un-capped players, and right now their starting XI is shaping up nicely. Kohli, Pujara, Zak, Mithun, S.Tiwary, Dilshan, ABDV, Nannes, Vettori. Very nice.
KXIP have made some really stupid buys...despite some big names I feel they're gonna struggle.
Delhi probably have overestimated the Indian pacers. An attack of Dinda, Agarkar and Yadav is alright, but not great. Irfan's injured too, so he'll probably be coming into the side straight after recovering without any match practice. Good thing they have Morkel. Also - Viru, Ojha, Finch and Warner are all openers. How they balance that will be interesting. Hopes, McDonald, van der Merwe all pretty good buys, good allrounders. Rao a good Indian batsman, but 700K? Really?
Deccan were building a good side yesterday...but 900K for Dan Christian? Whaa? And Gony and Sharma will release the pressure Steyn is building from the other end.
CSK have bought back most of their old squad. Tyagi is decent, Joginder is decent, Kulasekra is class. Styris has done okay for NZ recently, should do a decent job batting in the top order and bowling 4 tidy overs. Raina, MSD, Morkel, M.Hussey, Bravo and Bollinger (if fit) can be the core of a very dangerous side.
