And Milan did well with their second string side to pull off a victory against Sampdoria there at Genoa , Pato looked much better than his previously recent outings . Merkel is one glorious talent they can boast off . And btw , tonight is an absolute cracker of a contest when Juve host Roma . Forza Roma !! :p

Wow so the Romans will meet Inter in the semis while Milan take on Sicilian fellas Palermo . brilliant victory away from home for the Romans given they had previously won only 3 games away from home in the Serie A . 2 delightful assists from the future captain in de Rossi . Both goals taken superbly by Vucinic and Taddei . Inter is yet another testing fixture for Roma , but who knows what lies ahead ??

HAA @ Van Bommel being sent off in his 1st match for AC.

Good comeback win from Inter. Palermo could have sewn the game up or maybe gotten a draw out of it if Pastore had scored the penalty. Nonetheless, Inter are not quite out of the title race yet and Pazzini grabbed two goals on his debut too.

Cavani has been amazing this season - another hattrick.

This is the guy who is prompting me to root Napoli after Pool in the Europa League . Tough to predict against the likes of Villarreal , but on his day , he could as well tame them . ;)

I think the rule says you need to have citizenship of the other country when you've played for the first country. Arteta did not have British citizenship when he played in the Spanish youth teams.

Motta had dual citizenship in 2003 but funny enough it was Spanish and Brazilian so not sure how he got the go-ahead to play for Italy.

EDIT: Actually he did have an Italian passport as well since his grandfather is from there.

According to this article the only way Motta can play is, when he played under 23 level he had an Italian and Brazilian passport. Arteta didn't have an English passport when he played for Spain. But in the posted article of Motta it isn't written whether Motta had an Italian and Brazilian passport when he featured at youth level.

ahhh i see. Thanks fellas.

I would love to see Napoli win the league but Milan just keep getting better and better. Who'd have thought Robinho-Ibrahimovic-Cassano could work together in a coherent system, and actually work hard for the team!? Full credit to Allegri for that.

And Roma finally happen to lose after a long, long time ! And guess who does the damage , its him , Mr.Edinson Cavani .
And seriously not the right time to lose a match at home , given the Champions league is only a couple of days away .

I love Cavani, what a guy.

Huge weekend for Napoli. Massive win vs Roma, totally deserved it. Great signs for their title ambitions. And then Inter's inability to convert chances cost them the game. That miss from Eto'o, oh dear...
