Montella takes Roma reins | Sky Sports

----------

I don't think he really deserves it. Chelsea have been poor but it's not all down to him and sacking a double-winning manager a season later seems strange. But this is Abramovich we're talking about.

Roman made 3 key decisions that has undermined Ancelotti this season.

1. Ray Wilkins was sacked without Ancelotti's approval. :mad
2. As if that isn't bad enough, he appointed an unknown Emenalo as his assistant and again, without his approval. I hardly see Emenalo communicating with Ancelotti during matches. :facepalm
3. He bought Torres for Ancelotti just like what happened with Shevchenko if reports are to be believed.

AC Milan and Napoli playing each other this weekend and Milan then face Juventus next weekend just before their second leg of the Champions League against Spurs. Interesting times ahead for them.

Roma again threw another 2-0 lead against Parma and Udinese trashed Palermo 7-0 is a rather shocking scoreline given how Italian football works. :p

Alexis Sanchez and A.D. Natale both scored 4 and 3 goals respectively too.

Udinese were just incredible. First they thrash (9 man) Palermo 7-0, and then Amauri scores twice for Parma. What a crazy day!

A little bit disappointed with Napoli yesterday. Milan won the game somewhat comfortably in the end.

Napoli convingly beaten by Milan 3-0. Really poor performance. Not having Lavezzi is no excuse, they couldn't even pass the ball properly. Knee jerk reactions:

- Napoli out of title race. Record against top 5 this season - played 5, lost 5

- They lack squad depth. No players on bench who could've made difference

- Pato is back. What a performance by him.

Still unsure about Ibra/Pato partnership. At times looks excellent, others completely disjointed.

The Scudetto is all but set to remain at the San Siro , though it switches possession from the blue to the Red part of the stadium .

Milan will be playing against Juventus this weekend and there is still the Milan derby to come next month. Milan also still have to play Roma and Udinese again later. So Inter and definitely Napoli still have a chance to win the Scudetto.

Martin Samuel: Glorious Tottenham make art of survival a thing of real beauty | Mail Online

quote said:
Milan are ordinary. It is not hard to score against Tottenham. Wolverhampton Wanderers did it three times on Sunday. Yet in three hours of football, including 90 minutes at home and another 90 when a goal was an absolute imperative, they could not manage it.

This was partly because Gallas and Michael Dawson were in top form in central defence, but also because Serie A is an increasingly mediocre competition and its best team is by nature ponderous.

Strong statement that. Agree in many ways, but disagree slightly in some since i reckon Milan missed Pirlo & the ability to use Cassano in this years CL.

If Inzaghi was available for Milan, he could have offered them something different against Spurs.

Fortunately for Inter, Milan drew their game as well. Hoping for Napoli to take advantage to at least make things a little bit more interesting in the closing stages of the season.
