Australia have won the toss and surprisingly have elected to bowl first!
When asked why Captain Ricky Ponting Answers "The overhead conditions dont look too good so we have elected to bowl first.

So on field reporter (Aamir Imtiaz) moves on to Japanese Skipper Tetsuo Fuju.
Aamir = "So what are your thoughts on losing the toss?"
Tetsuo = "We are happy to bat first and we would have anyway if we had won the toss."
Aamir = "So any changes in your team?"
Tetsuo = "No, we are going to see how our current team functions and if we can we will make changes later on in the tournament."
Aamir = "alright thank you Tetsuo. So its seems as though the Australians have won the toss and elected to bowl first!"

Here come the two opening batsmen-
Hiro Watanabe and T.Hagihara

After 5 overs.....

After the 3rd over had been completed McGrath came back into the attack

Then Takuro Hagihara thought he'd be smart and tried to play at a wide ball.
edged____by_Watanabe_Hiro_kun.jpg

He mis hits it completely and it goes for a thick outside edge towards Simon Katich and he's CAUGHT!

He falls at 25/1 after 3.1 overs

Then Gavin Bruce Beath comes out to bat and He manages to hit 3 fours and 2 singles after 7 balls...

But at the start of Brett Lee's spell, Brucy manages to defend two balls but on the third ball he hits it towards the legside and thinking there was a quick single he darts towards the non-strikers end but Ricky Ponting was too fast for him and manages to get a direct hit! OUT! He falls at 48 for 2

Different story  than whats been on the boards, but good luck and will continue to monitor your story.

Not a bad start considering who you are playing. You could do with one or two batsmen carrying the innings for Japan but all will be revealed I guess. Good luck. :)

Average start. One of these batsmen must build a partnership and steady the Innings.

Great start mate. Keep it up!

Soon after....

Tatsuri Chiro comes out to bat. He starts off with 2 consecutive well timed fours through the covers and one down the ground towards midwicket. Chiro and Watanabe seem to be building quite a partnership! Hiro at 29* of just 25 deliveries and Tatsuri at 14 after 11 deliveries.
Japan are 85 for 3 after 9 overs!

After 11 overs

Japan are now 110 for 3 after eleven overs and commentator Richie Benaud has something to say about it.
"This partnership has really started to build up with just the 39 deliveries that they has faced."

13 overs gone
After 13 overs Japan are now 127 for 3 wickets! Having a run rate of 9.76 an over things are looking brighter for Japan. Having lost wickets earlier on the two young Japanese have put a great partnership of 49 of 45 balls now as well as Young Vice captain Watanabe getting his half century! Bravo hiro!

After 23 overs!

A lot has been happening in the past 23 overs! Lets start off with the Fours that have been shot around the ground by Tatsuri Chiro and Hiro Watanabe.

Tatsuri Chiro gets his Half century at last!

But then when Hiro Watanabe played the ball towards the onside to get his century a lot of drama was involved.

run_out__again____by_Watanabe_Hiro_kun.jpg

A quick release from Micheal Clarke sends Hiro back into the tents with mutinous looks because as you can see the replay that he had already creased his bat when the wicket keeper took the beils off the stumps. AND THE UMPIRE GIVES OUT! Groans from the crowd can be heard as Hiro walks back sulking because he was in his nervous 90's when he got run out. So Hiro falls at 246 for 4.

Hiro Watanabe's Wagon wheel as he was dismissed for 99 runs off 71 balls.

unlucky to be run out on 99, good work buddy

Thanks maddy. Couldnt believe that runout though xD

hiromega added 8 Minutes and 10 Seconds later...

Now i will be keeping you updated after every 2 overs.

Satoshi Nakano a young 23 year old player from Hokkaido has now come out to bat following the wicket of Hiro Watanabe.
"His cover-drive would be world famous had he played in the main leagues" says commentator Richie Benaud. And as he says these words Satoshi hits two excellent cover drives for consecutive fours.
_________________________________________
Then the next ball Satoshi hits the ball off his hips and attempts a quick single but the ball rolls into the hands of Glenn McGrath and McGrath throws the ball back attempting a run out BUT HE MISSES!!! Satoshi would have been thinking "ah this is it.I'm out." but it misses the fielders as well as the stumps and goes for a four!! The two batsmen taking 3 runs added insult to injury by making 7 runs come off that overthrow!!

Then in the start 25th over Nakano, having been put to worry after that last ball from McGrath tries for a a drive along the ground but MISSES! BOWLED!! He looks sadly on at the crowd and walks back in shame to the pavilion.

Gillipsie avenges McGrath with his bowling. Japan are now 275/5 after 25 overs
