In case you did not understand the rule here are the rules for retaining your players

• You must retain at least 1 professional player from your local players pool
• 1 rookie player must be retained, denoted by *
• Maximum 5 players including 4 professionals and 1 rookie can be retained
• You may retain less than 4 players, in that case you start the drafts early
• Also the other domestic players are available in the drafts

Just confirm your players retention in case you have already retained and if not then please post players you want to retain

This won't be fair, because the one who pick other players earlier will get the best out of it.
If any team needs an extra player then they can get those player after the end of the draft. Start round 1 involving all the teams. Not the ones who need extra players.

Why is it unfair?
It is completely fair because some teams don't have many good players to be retained whereas some teams have many good players
So this balances out all the teams
It is simple if you want to start the drafts early retain less players however if you have good players and want to retain them then start the drafts later
I followed the same process in my South African league and all got good, balanced teams
