I'd contradict here. Retaining key players is retaining the team's identity. Four player retention rule ensures that. Don't want the teams to chop & change every 3 yrs. Makes it difficult for a team to generate fan base.

Complety agree. You wouldn't want to give away someone like Miller. Now with Gilly gone, Shaun will open and Miller can play a one-down role and play atleast 15 odd overs.
And, you think Shadab Jakati would've made a difference with the ball? Interesting, pretty interesting. Okay, tell me more!
If it was a 'XYZ' from Mumabi indians you would have accepted it.You are a CSK hater and i wont be surprised if you tell that Dhoni wont make a difference with the bat.No use talking to blind people.
Better than what the overhyped Jadeja did for us.Just winning 1 or 2 games wont make him any better.India and CSK have lost a lot of matches because of him.Jakati dint play only because CSK had a left arm spinner in the form of Jadeja.
Jakati provides nothing with the bat, and Jadeja is classy finisher. Dhoni does prefer a batting heavy side, as you can see from Indian line-up and CSK line-up. Plus CSK, didn't need another bowler. Better of playing Ben Hilfan...(not sure how to spell the rest) He performed better than Morris in last years IPL. Albie Morkel was useless.
Morkel IMO was not used much.Aldrady batting is heavy for CSK,why does one need 9 batsmen in a T20?
Cos, your top heavy batting collapses badly against quality bowling sides!
