IPL Kings XI Punjab

I'd contradict here. Retaining key players is retaining the team's identity. Four player retention rule ensures that. Don't want the teams to chop & change every 3 yrs. Makes it difficult for a team to generate fan base.

Complety agree. You wouldn't want to give away someone like Miller. Now with Gilly gone, Shaun will open and Miller can play a one-down role and play atleast 15 odd overs.

True, all these players can now be identified with KXIP. Seeing them in yellow or blue jersey next season shall piss me or rather everyone off.
They need an Indian opener though, along with Marsh. They lacked good Indian batsmen this season. May be that is what cost them the season. Since PWI has been dissolved, they can look to pick up Yuvraj again, he really defined this side in the first 3 yrs.

Its just club cricket and identity is a very big word here.Who wants to see the same lineup on and on in this costly decorative entertainment program. This is not a national level cricket where you represent your country.Just 1 indian,1 uncapped indian and foreigner will do.If so much players are retained then we will be getting only the same teams in the top 4 almost everytime. For example, players like Albie Morkel and Shadab Jakati have just been under utilized this season and you dont want them to keep warming the benches, they are the players who can change the complexition of the game. And in KKR,Brett Lee just played few games which seriously is a big loss and every team has the same issue. If atall IPL happens,i want a total shuffle because players potential must be used rather than them just benchwarming.Your identity for the team or player potential being exposed?Make a call!:thumbs Good luck.

And, you think Shadab Jakati would've made a difference with the ball? Interesting, pretty interesting. Okay, tell me more!

If it was a 'XYZ' from Mumabi indians you would have accepted it.You are a CSK hater and i wont be surprised if you tell that Dhoni wont make a difference with the bat.No use talking to blind people.

Thanks for letting me know that I'm blind. So, things you know about me:
- I can't speak English
- I haven't attended school
- I'm a rural guy
- I'm blind

...and a couple more things if I've missed out.
Anything else? :lol

No point bringing MSD in here, he's a great guy, no doubt about that. And yes, I'm a CSK hater too, but that doesn't mean I'd be giving out biased statements here. You see, Jakati seriously wouldn't have made a difference.

Better than what the overhyped Jadeja did for us.Just winning 1 or 2 games wont make him any better.India and CSK have lost a lot of matches because of him.Jakati dint play only because CSK had a left arm spinner in the form of Jadeja.

RJ and RS have been a favourite of the Indian captain. All it takes for them is to score a 50 in a domestic match vs the poorest of opponents and their place in the Indian squad is secured for at least a year.

Jakati provides nothing with the bat, and Jadeja is classy finisher. Dhoni does prefer a batting heavy side, as you can see from Indian line-up and CSK line-up. Plus CSK, didn't need another bowler. Better of playing Ben Hilfan...(not sure how to spell the rest) He performed better than Morris in last years IPL. Albie Morkel was useless.

Morkel IMO was not used much.Aldrady batting is heavy for CSK,why does one need 9 batsmen in a T20?

Cos, your top heavy batting collapses badly against quality bowling sides! :lol
Ref: The finals and MIvsCSK at Wankhede.

You cant actually talk about that because your team has just won 1 IPL and 1 CL.We won twice, runners up thrice,1 CL and the most consistent team. *period*
Oh yes sorry Rahul, too many morons around.
