seconded, he is class in any format. He might not dazzle but he will always contribute, rotate the strike and keep the innings stable. His keeping is decent too.
If Ponting does not play next season than there is absolutely no reason to keep him. Just about every international cricketer wants to be in the IPL, with so much talent available why keep dragging a guy along who does not want to play?
Can anyone cross-reference this story? I see a lot of people getting very heated over it (probably a touch misdirected even if it is true), but it may not be fact. Google searching for the story reveals forum threads such as this among the highest hits. If there's only one original source for it and everything else is just syndicating from it, then the story is unlikely to be solid.
Ponting failed badly,though he didn't played those many matches,and was out of form in that period, but he really coudnt get runs,i guess he didnt even get single 50 in any of the matches he played...Razzak is good player no doubt....
