Local Cricket in United States

In New Jersey, in Brandybrook ( near Newark ) there are 2 proper pitches. I played last year for a West Indian team. There is a cricket league in NJ. The real deal - with full cricket gear, season ball etc. Splendid time of the year, yes, this spring and summer time.
I recall this team - Hyderabad Blues that actually played foul and was bitter they lost narrowly....
anyways.... with the weather getting good, looking forward to it.....

Plenty more such clubs in Brooklyn,NY and Queens, NY

Yap they have alot of clubs in US. Now i feel in future Cricket will be Popular in USA. Also we have cricket club in our school and some Americans also joint in cricket club. But they don't reallly how to play so we teach them how to play in every single details.

US Cricket Academy .... no kidding....
heard of it...
let me ask you - if I want to switch and join the Cricket League of NJ -- how do I go about it, whom do I contact ?

Well if you really want to then tell Nikhil as a cheaterr will give you the contact number, forms and all so its better you tell cheaterr.

You contact the team manager :P. Tell me the team your interested in and I'll see if I can dig up there information.

Also guys take not that we do not play with extras. That's why our scores arent as big as you expect. All the runs are off the bat.

Oi , post a pic of your pitch, ive gotta see this :P
Hey zMario, man you asked me couple days before to post the pictures of the place where we play at and I did and now you want to see the pitch. Please learn to trust people and don't think that we play on street or something. Any way, I have taken this picture when we were practicing and the guy in the picture is Nikhil (cheaterr) and also you can see the pitch perfectly and judge it. Hope you can see it.....

Ya that is Nikhil practicing Wicket Keeping. He is a good wicket keeper. I hope he does well in wicketkeeping.

Yup! that's true vibs; Nikhil (cheaterr) is not just a good wicket keeper but also he's one of the great batsman in our team "Bad Blood". Hope he keeps performing well for himself and the team.

nono, i wanted a picture from the distance , a side view of the pitch, like i want a picture where u can see both ends of the pitch in the same pic :P

We just won by 1 run. I must say i gave expensive run like 30 runs took 2 wickets and bowled 2.3. I gave 2 3 sixes, 2 fours and some singles. I was unlucky yesterday couldn't bowl cause my leg was paining. Anyway we won the match by Muhhamad and Preet. Good bowling.

Yea guys I kinda messed up on our bowling in the scorecard, I will fix that and post it up soon.

guys i bowl 4 overs and 3 wickets also 2 maidens and 7 runs i only gave it.and preet also bowl 4.3 overs and gave 17 runs and 3 wickets 0 maidens.mine and preet effort was excellent. because of that effort we won the match consecutive 5 in row!

Hey Guys. Congratulations on your Win :cheers
Here in Boston we play cricket on Saturday's and Sunday's. We start 8 in the morning untill 12 in the afternoon and once in a while we challange other teams to play. It's good to see many people stop by and watch us play. in my opinion, I think cricket would be more popular in USA if it took 2 or 3 hours for the conclusion. something like 20 cup would be pretty popular since many Americans don't have time to watch a 6 or 7 hours long game, I don't know if you guys have noticed, there is a new channel called American Desi and they have tournaments in New York City, where they play on a baseball field and it's fun to watch. Anyways Good luck on your up coming games
