Best all time Northants XI

These are absolutely spot on. Although the Northants one wasn't really a best XI because that would have been too obvious as soon as I picked Hayden.

With all those all-rounders I was very tempted to give the gloves to Andrew or Ripley and just bat them at 9

Only got that cause I and some others did one for every county and couldn’t get over the fact that I couldn’t find a better keeper than Niall O’Brien.

For reference this was the one we had made probably with slightly different criteria.

I was listening to the TalkSport segment where they came up with an all time ODI XI, so I figured I'd have a crack at one of my own:

1. Sachin Tendulkar
2. Adam Gilchrist
3. Dean Jones
4. Virat Kohli
5. Viv Richards
6. AB de Villiers
7. Wasim Akram
8. Joel Garner
9. Jasprit Bumrah
10. Muttiah Muralitharan
11. Glenn McGrath

Mike Procter is my 12th man only bevause he never played an ODI; if he had, I'd pick him ahead of McGrath.

You'll also noticed I ignored my usual rules about roles when you're building an ODI XI because I think all these players are such good specialists that it outweighs the upside of having that contingency.
