Lord of the Rings Mafia - Town wins

Hmm, how convinced are you that hes guilty?

I think so. I mean this was a damn good situation to claim one of the important characters if he was the suspect of many. I just can't take a no lynch. I mean it is pathetic. I'm more vary of this claim as Bevab already claimed an important character. Why was there a need for AP to claim another? If he was intelligent, he wouldn't have given mafia such an easy shot. I'm actually not changing my lynch on him.

@Hedger, I didnt see his role claim, let me check

----------

What do you think of his roleclaim Zohaib?

Well from what I see his role claim seems legitemate to me hence no-one has counter claimed it

Unlynch : AP

I still don't like the way he is being aggressive

No lynches are definitely frustrating, I'm not really one to lynch someone off who's claimed a main character and no one has counterclaimed them though.

Possibly User could actually be Sam, because it seems rather strange to still be pursuing AP. Sam is going to be in the game, and based on the evidence I have in front of me I'm not going to lynch him because it would just be stupid if he did turn out to be Sam. If he isn't the real Sam then real Sam is going to know that, so at least some townie out there will know if he's lying or not, so we've got to trust that that person plays it right.

Either way it's going to be a risk, but playing the two options up against each other from what I have infront of me, I think it's more likely that AP is Sam.

I was thinking the same lines, but didnt want to make it obvious as User might be trying to save his skin. User though doesnt seem that aggressive so I am assuming hes not Sam.

Going for a person claiming Sam seems like a big no no for me. Unless someone counterclaims though..

MaD's post seems strange, I'm not really sure why though. It almost seems like he's trying to hint something by saying; "I think you all should too..."

Just think of the situation AP has claimed in. I mean, was there any need for him to claim an important character if he was town? Seeing, as we already have supposedly the main character exposed? I really doubt anyone would ever do that. Just a mafia play, surely.

He already had eight lynches on him. Mark and a few other said it's time for you to claim now AP. (I'll go back and find quotes) He had to claim something or he would have been hammered by now, whether is actually town or mafia. If he is actually Sam (and town) it would of been a bigger risk to not claim Sam, especially for a newish player.

Here you go:

unlynch: Sachin

lynch: ANgrypixel

let's force him to roleclaim

Well this day is all very confusing. So many things are still not clear.
I guess it comes down to this. If Angry pixel comes up with a decent role claim. Shall we all go for a no lynch or shall we lynch?

----------

Also:

AP has 6 votes so we might at least be able to force him towards a roleclaim with some more bandwagoning. Hopefully he's not another vital character. :facepalm

Well, I can't be bothered with that. I've put forward my assumptions. I'm not really falling for his bluff. I really feel he's shady given his earlier play. Not believing him one bit.

Pretty interesting how convinced User seems to be that AP is lying...

His reasons aren't particularly good though.

I think reading up the conversation. I am not going to unlynch AP.
I think as it stands, the conversation brought up in the last few pages have been insightful.
I think we should lynch AP because we have some information to work on based on what people have posted.

Especially the results will be help clear people and bring others in focus.

I'm slightly suspicious of the people who are insisting that we can't do a no lynch on day 1 as it only helps the mafia.
No lynch without any discussion helps the mafia but we've had 4 days of discussion and there have been strong claims from those under suspicion.
Considering that most day 1 lynches in normal circumstances end up killing off a townie not lynching actually potentially saves the town a person.
Look at it this way:
Scenario A: we lynch wrong, mafia night kill a townie. Result - two townies dead.
Scenario B: we lynch right, mafia night kill a townie. Result - one townie dead and one mafia dead.
Scenario C: No lynch, mafia night kill a townie. Result - one townie dead.

Now obviously we all want scenario B but in this situation scenario A is considerably more likely. Gambling is only going to help the mafia. The fewer townies we lynch, the more they have to try and kill at night.

Regarding user2010 and AP's claim, I agree with those who say that AP wouldn't have claimed such a strong character if he was mafia. If user2010 can counter-claim and ensure we lynch off a mafia then he needs to do it. The time for subtle hints has gone as people are already saying in the thread he might be Sam. If AP is mafia then the mafia will come after user2010 anyway and we won't have lynched AP in the meantime.

Unless user2010 is prepared to provide a counter-claim my no lynch stays.

Lynch: AP

Agree with User here, I think you all should too...

See this confuses me. If this wasn't day 1 you could conceivably have some information that would allow us to follow you but just say user2010 is sam then how would you know? You're as much in the dark as the rest of us so that's quite a strong assertion to expect people to accept.

To be honest with you, here is what weakens for the argument that AP might be Sam. The fact is Sam is an important character. Why in the world would you declare that to everyone in the first day itself? Especially after the facepalm Bevab Debacle. I would say that an important role is more likely to hide their identity and use a pseudo-but-believable claim.
Anyways I am not a fan of the way AP have played during this game either. I will be honest that he is always going to create lingering suspicion for me atleast throughout the game.

Gollum hated Sam in the books and films, maybe User is Gollum and has some role to kill off Sam?
