I've been in Newcastle so not been able to contribute but judging by recent posts we are chasing our own tail here and as much as I hate agreeing with him, Colin is right.

I think we don't have the time and don't want this day to waste. I tried to provide hints but, I think I agree with Colin that I need to counter AP.

I'm Samwise. I know this is going to mean that I get taken out early but, I don't mind. As it already is, I think doc will be protecting Bevab. And, mafia will go for me. So, be it. I know I won't be able to win but, I'll take pride in helping the town.

To be honest with you, here is what weakens for the argument that AP might be Sam. The fact is Sam is an important character. Why in the world would you declare that to everyone in the first day itself? Especially after the facepalm Bevab Debacle. I would say that an important role is more likely to hide their identity and use a pseudo-but-believable claim.
Anyways I am not a fan of the way AP have played during this game either. I will be honest that he is always going to create lingering suspicion for me atleast throughout the game.

If AP is Sam it was always unlikely he was going to fake roleclaim. I find it strange how the same people who wanted him to roleclaim are coming out and taking a stab at him now.

Think about it, he's a newish player, if he claimed something else there's a chance he could be counterclaimed. Then if he was counterclaimed I can pretty much guess the same people would be saying; "Why didn't you just roleclaim your actual role". On top of that at a guess his LotRs knowledge could be limited, so if he is Sam and he was looking to fake roleclaim that would be a lot harder.

Yes I'm not denying that he played poorly to start things off, but some of you guys in this situation would have been impossible to please with regards to whatever he did.

And there's every chance Sam could be Vanilla as well. Yes he was a major character, but he doesn't really fit many major mafia roles.

Not really. He has successfully exposed me. So, I'll give it to him. Dumb play by the townies, actually. Unless, you're a mafia Colin. I'll now request the townies to analyze this better. See who supported AP, subtly defending him, I mean. We can get a bit more insight then. Like the one Callum posted. I need to be frank now. I'll be killed, I have to do it now.

I'm not convinced. Sam isn't going to be a vital role and it seems unlikely the mafia would sacrifice one of their own on the first day just to expose him.
I realise that AP might have had help and suggestions from his mafia friends but it feels more like dumb luck than careful planning to me.

It would suck if he claimed Sam to cover up being someone like Gandalf. I'm kind of hoping that he did though, because I'm screwed if he turns up mafia.
