Lord of the Rings Mafia - Town wins

He walked briskly with his staff in one hand. He wanted to meet the most mischievous hobbit among those in Minas Tirith, as he felt that the fool was up to something. And as soon as he reached his destination his suspicions were confirmed. The young lad was attempting to steal from a close friend of his. The wizard gave a stern telling off to the hobbit, and went back to his room.

Being The Dark Lord?s right hand man meant he was instructed to take out the biggest threat to Mordor and their attempt to rule Middle Earth. He had not slept, thinking of a way to disguise his attack on an equally clever opponent. He created a potion that would do the job and, when his target was distracted, slipped it into his goblet.

All he had to do now was wait and let it take effect.

The day had not gone too well for him, what with the death of one of his best warriors. He set out to meet the man who had worn The One Ring for a small period of time in his absence and who had now become frail and weak. The Dark Lord saw him sleeping peacefully in his bed, talking to himself in his sleep.

The Lord of the Rings ensured that he would never wake again.

The body was that of ARay. ARay was:

I'm not thinking Bilbo would have had a major role (I would need someone with better knowledge to correct me though?) so at least we haven't lost a power role. Also looks like someone is poisoned, come on doc, find that guy!

so its finally day 2.I'll post what I can make out of the write up in a while.

Maybe someone roleblocked? Is it the cop or doctor or some mafia? Hope it is a town roleblocker doing it on the mafia.

That must be someone being poisoned. We need to find that person out soon and let the doctor heal him.(Maybe it's the nurse's job because that was what was in Pokemon Mafia.)

That surely is the mafia killing ARay
The phrase"with the death of one of his best warriors."bugs me a bit tbh. That seems MaD.It also might hint that MaD was not the godfather because his best warriors is mentioned there. But, MaD might have been some power mafia role. If he was the roleblocker, then my previous theory of a town PR being roleblocked does not make any sense.

Staff? Gandalf I presume? Hobbit narrows it down to 4, I am assuming the roleblocker was townie aligned, plus he investigated a hobbit and theres not a single mafia hobbit, so Roleblocker here knows the identity of a townie.

Poisoning done by Saruman perhaps? look for clues I left alot of them when I was poisoned. (I am not poisoned now btw :p)

ARay is a blow, doubt he had a major role though

Sad. I anticipated that the mafia would target someone like ARay or BKB, who are insightful in post analysis.

My thoughts about the writeup, although I'm not quite acquainted with LOTR so it's not very insightful.

No idea who this is. The urban dictionary states that it was used by Gandalf, addressed to Peregrin Pippin Took, so here I have to believe that BKB is right. Gandalf appears to be the roleblocker, I'm not sure of alignment, and Took - attempting to steal - perhaps tracker, watcher, or is there a role that steals others' roles?

LOTR wiki states that there are multiple lords so I have no idea whatsoever of who is the Dark Lord's right hand man. The most plausible option for the role is poisoner.

This is surely the death of ARay. Him sleeping appears to me as if he is vanilla townie, but the 'talking to himself' might have something in it.

Back to analysis of posts of Day 1, and especially MaD's supporters.

I have had to make a small change to the first paragraph of the write-up, i.e added an extra sentence. My apologies, PSquared wrote that bit (Blame him ;)).
