Ahh.. well I actually don't understand much of the game. It seems that you guys are too good. Does everyone really get this good after playing a few games?

@Varun - Eomer is a good claim but it would have been a lot more credible if you didn't already know every other character on the game.

Yup, of course, it is not. But I've contributed to the town more than any other 'confirmed' townies.

I'm sure you realised that, as Gandalf, I have immunity from one night kill. It doesn't apparently apply to being poisoned...

What do you think about Varun? He has been pursuing Spoobir somewhat irrationally, while largely avoiding casting suspicion on the major suspects. Was my confidence of him wishful thinking?

No? I just suggested (and it's plausible if you consider the scenario of lynch of Tom) that although Spoobir, claiming Gimli, who, as you guys say, is a pro-town character, he could cult as well if Maney had the power to recruit. I don't see how it's irrational.

And agreed I have been avoiding major suspects, but aren't almost all of them, except Chewie, based on their character claims? And with my knowledge of LOTR just limited to a handful of characters, how can I possibly conclude what is a fine role claim and what not? All I can do is analyze posts, for I don't even have a role, and with my analysis all I can be suspicious of are Maney, Spoobir, Zohaib and CG, (after CG's role-claim) and Chewie, largely because others are suspicious of him.

Well it depends. There are players like Papa_Smurf who played their very best from their first games, but then there also are players like Vedarshi...

This is my first game and I've definitely made some mistakes. I'm not trying to be harsh; asking is better than lynching because you weren't sure. I just think you maybe need to read some of the posts more carefully because you sometimes seem to miss or misunderstand important information.

I think it's pretty obvious who Sachinfan98 is assuming he's town, so tbh he might as well just character claim to confirm that. I'm still not sure if he's fully come to terms with the game/is following it completely, because he's asking "Are we going for a mass-claim right now?" when he's the only one yet to claim.

Tbh I'd rather lynch people off based on there play so far, rather than their character claims, because I know with my character and the likes of Tom that there are a few semi-random characters out there. That mainly leaves Zohaib, Culli, Maney, and Chewie. Obviously (I think) we can rule out the major characters.

And anyways, I don't believe he kills the one who initiates his lynch.

@CG123 - This game has actually made me think that providing fake role claims for mafia might be a good thing. The play can become too much about the claim and not about the actual posts.
That said I agree with the four you've listed above and would like to make sure we lynch one of them today.

The day kill came after Denthor was lynched. I was assuming that he got a PM saying "Now that your father is dead in your grief and rage you decide to kill off all those responsible".
Any one else noticed that both of those killed so far were involved in the AP lynch? On that basis only Varun, chewie and sachinfan are safe...
That would be a pretty cool win condition wouldn't it? You can only win if the 9 who lynched are dead at the end of the game. You get a day kill every day to help you.

Regarding Zohaib, I don't know whether he is Gollum or Faramir but I don't think he's mafia. Agreed that he could be Gollum and thus the SK but I think Boromir is a lot more likely.

That theory is perfectly plausible but remember that Denethor couldn't be dead before the end of the day. He died in the writeup, and someone was killed in the writeup. And this:

He decided to take matters into his own hands. I would have gone for a day-time vigilante/SK/JOAT if it wasn't for User being killed. Anyone who suspected User on Day 3? He could very well be vigilante as well, who killed MaD, and on being suspicious of User, killed him.

But then he'd be someone inexperienced, who didn't believe he was town. This theory is not very strong though.
