Will the cricket video games community have to pay to play 'The Cricket Project' and how will the video game be distributed?
At this moment in time, the decision has not been made whether or not the cricket video games community will have to pay to play 'The Cricket Project'. If the development team wish for the cricket games community to play to play 'The Cricket Project', then it will be an extremely small amount of money which will enable the cost of materials used in development to be met. The remaining amount of money will be invested into the future development of the video game, in the form of future editions and patches. At this moment in time the video game will not be commercially distributed, so the video game will be available for download on the internet, but it will be an extremely large file sze. Members of the cricket video games community who use a dial-up connection of means of exploring the internet may wish to pay an extremely small amount of money to be sent a compact disc.
When a decision is made you will be sure to know about it, but until then don't go assuming one way or the other as to price.
This has been discussed before. In this situation the licenced equipment from the game would be removed and sent to someone. The game would have fake equipment but the person would then release the patch, that he made.Hardie123123 said:sorry about that but if we do have to pay for it LM has to buy the licences but we could donate money and that wont make LM get the linceces
Why do you think that? Are you completely against paying for this game?!Hardie123123 said:oh ok that would then take even more time
Hardie123123 said:no im paying for loads of things on the net im up for it, im just saying that it would take even more time to download with slow internet connections
If that doesn't include licenced equipment, that will be mostly graphics so it wouldn't be too big of a download, just leave a download manager open overnight and you will have most if not all of it in the morning.Members of the cricket video games community who use a dial-up connection of means of exploring the internet may wish to pay an extremely small amount of money to be sent a compact disc.
Most people know at least one person with a broadband connection who would be willing to download it. Anyway this is only the licenced equipment, the game will be more than playable without that. I personally don't care if the people are using the right bat or not.Madman said:That would not be possible on some dial-up connections as you get charged quite a lot for every minute you use on the internet, I used to use Freeserve/Wannadoo dial-up and it used to cost us a fortune.
Some of my friends who want to play TCP (who dont use these forums, I told them about TCP) will not be able to download it so would it be ok for me to make a few CDs containing the game to give to them?
