India's Tour of Australia
1st Test 5th day
Australia needed 356 to win from 80 overs
Australia started well with Rogers and Warner adding 57 for the first wicket before ashwin got warner caught behind, after few overs he trapped rogers in front of the stumps. after that i simulated the Australian innings till 75 overs.
Australia were 286/9 at that time, Umesh yadav picked up the last wicket to give India lead in 5 match series.

Ashwin got the motm for his 30 & 55* and 7/31
India lead the 5 match series 1-0

So in reply to Australia's mammoth score of 409...

SA got off to a great start with Amla striking the ball at an aggressive pace along with Quinton getting their 50 off just 25 balls....

2015-03-30_00001.jpg
Amla reaching his 50 as well in quick session....

2015-03-30_00005.jpg
And continuing their game aggressively reached 100 in 10.1 overs without losing a wicket...

2015-03-30_00008.jpg
And Quinton also reached his half century at run-a-ball...The key was not to lose wickets in a big chase like this...

2015-03-30_00012.jpg
Amla on the other hand never slowed down on his striking rate and along with Quinton ,SA reached 150 in just 18.3 overs...

2015-04-03_00003.jpg

Things were going well but soon Amla lost his wicket while cutting the ball to WK and went for a well played 85...

2015-04-03_00007.jpg
Quinton then carried on with his innings after Amla departed...And reached his deserving century as it was really important to someone settled to be in there..

2015-04-06_00033.jpg
Quinton and Faf had a very good partnership going but was broken as Faf got out on 49....Should have stayed in for a bit long as he looked in a really good touch...

2015-04-06_00034.jpg
ABD came in and and went at full force with Quinton knocking around 1 or 2 regularly...After a while Quinton taking on the attack mistimed one to square leg and giving away his wicket for a good innings of 137...

2015-04-06_00036.jpg
Soon after Quinton's dismissal ABD reached his 50 as well at a good strike rate....

2015-04-06_00039.jpg

Even after this the match still has miles to go as SA still needs 49 off just 3.5 overs....Will update the result soon...:D
2015-04-06_00041.jpg

Continuing the climax of the match...

Duminy played a gem of an innings for his fast 50...

2015-04-06_00048.jpg

In the 47th over SA managed 11 runs with 38 more runs required off 3 overs...With 2 boundaries and a six , total 14 off the next were scored off Johnson's over...Now 24 off 2 overs...At 12rpo it seemed in reach and both ABD and Duminy getting a good 15 off the next which made it easy for SA to finish it off with one ball to spare...It really was a record chase for me till now...The incredible thing about SA's innings was that every batsman that came in got big scores and contributed to the chase making it possible to chase the mammoth 410 runs...:D

what a match man! What difficulty are you playing on?

Playing the 5 match ODI series at the end of the ashes series of 2013-14. England won the first two ODIs by landslides so upped the difficulty to pro. Was roundly gubbed by Australia in the next two so am currently playing the series decider at the Bradman Oval.

Australia won the toss and took full advantage of some sloppy england bowling and racked up 305-4, with Warner making 99 (95) before being yorked by Anderson (1-50).

England's reply started terribly, losing Hales (8) and Stokes (0) and continued to struggle and after 8 overs were 55-5. Enter Jonny Bairstow playing his second game of the entire tour. Playing like he had nothing to lose, he smashed his way to 55 from 24 balls (including 3 successive sixes off Faulkner) and was out at 140-7. Game over? not quite, First Tim Bresnan (54) and James Anderson (71*), inspired by Bairstow's free spirit, have taken the tail, and England to the brink of a memorable victory. The last wicket pair of Anderson and James Tredwell (30*) are currently at the crease and need 16 more to win from the remaining four overs...

UPDATED - Only added three more runs before Anderson was bowled, giving Australia a narrow win and the series 3-2. Stupid shot by Anderson, abandoned his leg side shovels and went for glory. Should never have taken a playing break, concentration was lost and I paid the price.

Australia - 305-4
England - 292 all out

Had an absolutely interesting couple of sessions of bowling was playing as WI against ENG [legend difficulty/ grassy pitch], this is the first time i had been able to roll out opposition for just around 200+ with allout pace attack but most of all dont know if had that lucky match or what had a couple of terrific spells, got around seven wkts through edges all to mostly to keeper because i dint keep any slip except fly slip.

eng started of strongly carting around K.Roach, and were 50 up in no time was feeling the usual vibe to sim bowling in a test match when i decided to give one last go with packing the offside fully except for a deep midon on onside and kept bowling to the offside and the strategy started working soon, trott gobbed up a slightly fuller goodlength delivery straight to cover, then switched to banging a couple of short ones with the goodlength ones and after some resistance from balance and cook balance gave away trying to defend a nice away swinging good ones to keeper, then bell tried to put up for a bit but then got a flurry of wickets to short deliveries trying to cut or late cut or trying to slog to midon. as long as i was able to hold a proper line was able to be on top of the batsman and induce mistakes regularly despite the odd runs when i err sightly to middle or leg. would have like to wrap under 200 but broad got some quick runs of benn who i was using to just rotate the pacers and give them time to recover.

now hope i put on a decent innings with the bat to back it up.

really one of the rare times i have really enjoyed bowling pace in test match in dbc and was able to feel that momentum in a couple of spells were batsman literally had difficulty connecting or playing shots.

I also played a casual match just for bowling today to see how they do...

India vs England [Legend/ Dry worn out pitch]

Simulated India's batting, ended up with a score of 308....
Started bowling, instead of a custom field which usually restricts the score too much, I chose a real life field with two slips, 3 off side and 3rd man and fine leg for the full innings of bowling with occasionally placed the deep cover fielder....And TBH it was really boring as they were giving wickets easily and shots being played were ridiculous and the way they paced their innings was also irritating to say the least...
Slog shots being played for four are played on short off a good length deliveries straight over the mid on region hitting high on the bat, just dont understand the logic behind such a batting technique...

@fiction or @HBK619 : Can you elaborate a bit on the factors that determine the shots played by the AI??

No slip catches though expected a few, many many play and miss, over the stumps deliveries bowled...Got them all out for 145 with such a field, cant even think the score they would have scored with the custom field...

I really find the good length more on the shorter length and feel should be pushed up in the patch, none of the good length hitting even the top [Telling about deliveries that are assigned on the top of the green zone, not the shorter length]....

Overall have come to a conclusion to not bowl and continue to bat for both sides which I have been doing...

what i have found is fielding plays a huge factor on AI shots especially the nonsensical shots once you put in a couple of deep midwckt and deep third man, they stop playing slogs and late cuts for most part and do try to play to the field/delivery and score with normal shots working the gaps, they do look like normal batsman and shot selection is good once they do away with late cut and mid on slog. for now whatever combo of field i set up i make sure to put these three in place and then bowl to the plan.

Ideally this should not be the case as they need to shelf those shots especially the likes of late cuts to yorkers and stuff. but for now i feel this field placement method works and you do feel really good when bowling unplayable spells.

Yeah I know as that would be my custom field, hope patch#3 makes the necessary changes to AI to make it more realistic....They dont even leave deliveries its mostly a play and miss...I want something like play it out in the first 10 overs leaving the balls swinging away the batsman ans try scoring that quick singles and rotate strikes...

Speaking of Field Placement, Is AI Field Settings is one of the reason in career mode is the reason AI will be even more worse while playing shots

just restricted eng to 399 with WI yesterday though its the second innings :D eng batted with resolve in second innigs after being bundled out in the first cook and trott literally did it in, but then got cook stll eng were grinding it out like anythig and felt really hopeless at around 70 overs, but then the new ball did the trick by taking wkt of the first ball had saved taylor and gabriel for the new ball and they struck repeatedly leaving eng to bowl close at stumps, now need 306 to win for WI.
