Match,Tour & Competition Experiences

Started a new test league with the 10 test nations: 1 match vs each in league, and then a final between the two top teams. I am playing as South Africa throughout the tournament and simulating bowling as I personally don't find it satisfying.#

Playing veteran difficulty (I've only been playing for a month) and getting to grips with different aspects of batting.

So, first match is Bangladesh, a good draw, I get an easier team to start off with and attempt to get my eye in and have a chance at winning. I won the toss and decided to bowl first, the pitch was a beauty: flat, pristine and carrying through, but I wanted to get a feel for the how good they were at batting so as to try not to leave myself feeling inadequate after hitting 250. Anyway, so they hit 428, Ashraful with a gritty 143 from 224. and Morkel picking up 4-98. I went in to bat and crumbled to 137-5, du Plessis was my only salvation, defying the bowlers with a well earned 49, before being bowled by Razzaq. I had put Miller in the setup out of preference, I like his fast batting style and he can hit a ball for six with relative ease. Miller and Duminy proceeded to rack up a 200 partnership Miller with 140 from 143 and Duminy with 136 from 154 to guide me to 427 all out.

Bangladesh then managed to play out of their skins and scored a massive 461 with Iqbal earning 130 from 185. I was now left with 4 sessions to chase down 463 to win, and it started better, many 20s and 30s, before I stumbled to 222-5, and once again Miller and Duminy at the crease, this time, with confidence aplenty they scored at almost a run a ball to rack up 145 from 147 for Miller (Wagon wheel in post) and Duminy with 93* from 114 (wagon wheel also in post). Steyn and Duminy guiding me home with some easy singles in the last session of the match.

Next game is India and hopefully I'll have some news of a win!

Very good match there mate...Post the full innings scorecard as well..

The next ODI started with Australia winning the toss and choosing to bat first...

Australia off to a decent start with Warner hitting few boundaries at the start and Finch rotating strikes...Their partnership lasted for a decent 48 with Warner mistiming one to short mid wicket fielder...But after this Finch and Watson continued well with both looking in good touch and soon Finch reached his fifty scoring at more than run a ball...

2015-03-25_00001.jpg
And after a very good partnership between them, Finch lost his wicket at 69 trying to loft the ball...

2015-03-25_00005.jpg

With a very good partnership now broken Clarke came in to keep it steady with the run rate being 6.7 at that time...And Watson also reached his 50 at a fast pace as well...

2015-03-29_00002.jpg
Watson was batting at a very aggressive rate after his fifty and the runs were flowing, thus making the run rate maintained at that rate...And another important partnership
was built between Clarke and Watson reaching 100 at a very good rate...

2015-03-29_00012.jpg
Majority runs were scored by Watson in the partnership and also reached his century at an awesome strike rate, he was just hitting them all around the ground..

2015-03-29_00014.jpg

Soon both created an incredible partnership of 150 off just 122 balls....Out of that Clarke scored only 46 which was really good to see the support provided by him to Watson..

2015-03-29_00016.jpg

Now with Clarke settled he thought of hitting a straight six but just managed to scoop up a catch to deep mid on for a well played 47...

2015-03-29_00020.jpg
Next came Smith and started off with a boundary but was more keen on giving the strike to Watson as he continued his innings even when wickets fell on the other side, the strike rate did not drop for him at any moment, thus reaching his 150...[A first one for me in the game]..:D

2015-03-29_00024.jpg
Now Watson just wanted as many strikes he could take because there was a really good opportunity for him to get a double hundred here....He continued scoring even faster after his 150 resulting in reaching his brilliantly played innings of a double century...

2015-03-29_00030.jpg

But soon got out...But a very well played and one of the best innings played...

2015-03-29_00032.jpg
And with such performances Australia finish off on a mammoth score of 409....:D

Its a request, just wanna see how you do in a 50 over match as I have only seen you career scores only till now and we know that you score 100's and 50's on a regular basis...:D

So I started my India's Tour of Australia(Difficulty Legend)
Indian Captain Virat Kohli won the toss and elected to bat first on grassy pitch:rolleyes, Indian openers proved his decision of batting first correct by scoring 72 runs in 19.5 overs(before my Room mate pulled my controller from the port, after that game refused to detect it so i had to save the game :(:facepalm2015-03-30_00005.jpg )
ATM Dhawan is batting on 51*(58)
2015-03-30_00003.jpg 2015-03-30_00004.jpg Match Report
Dhawan and Vijay started positively by seeing through Mitchel Johnson's first spell, with first bowling change Josh Hazlewood came on and Dhawan being aggressor took him for 11 in his first over then took 16 from next over of Ryan Harris by the time Johnson came back score was already past 50 and Indian openers were looking well settled.

Match Report
After Resume of play Indian openers started cautiously only scoring on bad balls (there were very few) at lunch they reached 98 without loss .
@lunch2015-03-31_00010.jpg
After Lunch Dhawan and Vijay started positively carrying on their confidence from first session. Dhawan slowed down a bit and vijay being vijay continued with his own style only scoring on bad balls, he reached his 50 of 132 balls including one towering six of Lyon, soon after that they completed 150 runs partnership for the 1st wicket, but Australian bowlers still refused to back down and kept check on scoring rate. In 50th over of the day Dhawan pulled a short delivery of Hazlewood towards square leg to reach his hundred, but on his way to third run Murli Vijay fell short of the crease and ran himself out.(No celebration animation for Dhawan:rolleyes)2015-03-31_00014.jpg 2015-03-31_00015.jpg 2015-03-31_00016.jpg
In came Pujara and his poor form. He was struggling from the first ball and finally his struggle ended when Lyon trapped him in from of the stumps. After this Kohli and Dhawan made sure India go to tea without any more hiccups.
Dhawan 122*(188)2015-03-31_00020.jpg

Thanks:D
Its different and a lil bit difficult from career mode.
Reasons
>I need to bat all the time where as in career mode i can take single and relax while on no strike end.
>Field settings are also different and there are frequent changes in fields as compared to career mode.
>I am finding batting as right handed challenging(I am left hand batsman in career mode) this is the reason i am batting slow with right handed batsman.(for next game sirjee & Raina are coming in playing eleven:D).

For now i will playing by sessions.:thumbs

End of days play
2015-03-31_00027.jpg
After tea
Kohli and Dhawan both started aggressively and they got help from loose bowling from Australian bowlers. Soon Dhawan went past his 150
2015-03-31_00021.jpg
Kohl was also looking solid and on way to his 50 but he got out for 47 while trying cut Hazlewood's Bouncer ending a 95 runs partnership.
2015-03-31_00024.jpg
Very next over Lyon went through Dhawan's defence, he got out after scoring fabulous 163(India 285/5)2015-03-31_00023.jpg
after two quick wickets Raydu and Rahane tried to build innings but Raydu couldn't hold on to his horses and through his wicket away2015-03-31_00025.jpg
Suddenly familiar collapse started looking inevitable, India ended the day at 322/6 with Rahane on 20* and Ashwin 6*

2nd day Session 1
On very first ball of the day Rahane got out , thanks to super human effort of Chris Rogers:facepalm
Score ATM 322/7 , 91 Overs

Update
India bowled out for 350, at one stage i was thinking 450 even 500
biggrin.png

As i have no plan of bowling and batting for i one team is tiring for me , I will be simulating the Australian Innings
here it is 2015-03-31_00031.jpg
Australia lead by 57
thanks to the efforts of Johnson and Lyon:rolleyes:facepalm

till now every thing seems realistic to me
Indian collapse , their inability to take last few wickets:lol:lol
