Test Match League (playing as Unlimited Titans)

1st match vs Delhi Daredevils

2nd Innings (Delhi Daredevils) (NO simulation)

As expected, the Daredevils came waaay short of the target. They started their second innings, with almost 2 full days of batting at their disposal.

Honestly, with the first 2 batsman, I thought wow, this isn't bad at all. They took their sweet time, but reached 94 runs before losing their first wicket. At a stage, I started thinking, oops, they might actually do this. And was kind of excited about it. But alas, after the first wickets had fallen, the rest came tumbling down faster than a dunk Mexican trying to get on his horse to head home from the pub (Tequila ALWAYS wins)

The Titans won the test match comfortably, by 223 runs, with just over 1 day of the 5 days remaining.

Next match will be played on Veteran, to see if the AI batting is a bit more challenging.

Rebel League continued - Australia Rebels v South Africa XI

South Africa started day 3 on 197/4 after 45 overs in response to Australia's 275/6. South Africa were targeting a big first innings lead, with Lawrence Seef and Clive Rice well set.

Needing early wickets to get back into the game, Australia set attacking fields but this allowed South Africa to get off to a quick start, adding 21 in less than 4 overs. Unlike the previous day, Seef was the more attacking of the two, moving quickly to 71.

Seef got too aggressive, edging McCurdy to Rixon to go for 71 and leave the score on 218/5

This brought captain Mike Procter to the wicket. The scoring slowed down as Procter played himself in and Rice took no risks in the face of defensive fields, being happy to knock the ball for ones and twos.

A rare boundary from Rice brought up the team 250 and his hundred from 106 balls.
4CY2ipR.jpg

Procter began to score freely, but Rice became becalmed scoring just 12 runs from his next 26 balls - far below the pace of his earlier innings. Trying to regain momentum with a big drive off Hohns, Rice could only pick out Shipperd in the deep, going for 112 off 135 balls with the score now 291/6.
dGQn8R0.jpg

Keeper Ray Jennings joined Procter; Procter farmed the strike and kept up his strike rate. However he tried one too many big shots, picking out McCurdy off Hohns to go for 49 with the score now 304/7.
8WRylEf.jpg

Garth Le Roux came to the wicket, a very handy batsman to have coming in at number 9. While Jennings had most of the strike, Le Roux was scoring quickly and their runs were neck and neck.

Terry Alderman was the only Aussie bowler not to pick up a wicket, and when an edge from Jennings failed to carry to point, it seemed his luck was completely out. Le Roux in particular went after him, when he picked up a 3 with a cut to third man Alderman's ton was brought up - the swing bowler having the unenviable figures of 0-101. Things improved immediately for the bowler, Jennings edging the very next ball to the keeper to go for 26. South Africa were now 362-8.

Stephen Jefferies came to the wicket, looking to support Le Roux in pushing the lead up to 100 and beyond. However his poor game continued as he edged behind for a duck giving McCurdy his 4th wicket.
ERMFhRG.jpg

With last man Vincent van der Bijl coming to the wicket, it just remained to be seen if Le Roux could bring up his 50 and if the lead could pass 100. Van der Bijl presented a dead bat, with Le Roux hitting out at the other end. A 6 and a 4 in consecutive balls for Le Roux first took the lead past 100, and then brought up his 50 off just 25 balls.

The next target for South Africa was the 400, but Van der Bijl couldn't hold out giving McCurdy his 5th wicket and Rixon his 5th catch behind the wicket. Van der Bijl was out for a duck and South Africa all out for 390.

South Africa did well to recover from 31/3., being rescued by their middle order. Australia struggled from the lack of an all-rounder - where South Africa had Clive Rice bowling at third change, Australia had to rotate the same four bowlers, allowing South Africa to counter-attack when Australia would have wanted to apply pressure.

Playing Tour of Australia vs South Africa...Australia won the toss and chose to bowl..

2015-03-15_00006.jpg 2015-03-15_00007.jpg 2015-03-15_00010.jpg 2015-03-15_00011.jpg 2015-03-15_00014.jpg 2015-03-15_00015.jpg

Could have scored a bit more than that but lost wickets in quick successions looking for more runs...But overall enjoyed the innings especially the way Amla played patiently and DuPlessis on the other hand keeping the run rate above six always...That really helped Amla to take his time for scoring the runs and was comfortable rotating strike to
DuPlessis...After Faf got out Amla started to go big and was successful to an extent but couldn't continue as he mistimed on to deep mid on...

Will continue the 2nd innings on how Australia went with their chase as it will be challenging to score 350...:)

Note:I bat for both sides as its more challenging than the AI...

WHAT A MATCH!!!!!!!Just brilliant experience....

Australia had a slow start as you can see both the openers had to work hard for their runs as bowlers bowled a very tight line and restricted runs in the powerplay...Soon both lost their wickets and arrived Watson and Clarke...Seemed like Clarke had a back problem even in the game as he was also struggling to get runs...
Spinners were able to control runs and RPO was creeping up along the overs, Clarke looking for a quick single got run out by ABD..So a good partnership was broken and then came Bailey, at that time RPO went upto 8.30 rpo...Bailey hit a beautiful 6 which went for about 95m straight over the bowler's head, next ball the bowler McLaren bowled a beauty to get Bailey, when looked into replay it was a slower one by which he was beaten...

But Watson on the other hand reached his 50 in 55 balls...

2015-03-15_00019.jpg

What really was required at this stage was a big partnership which was to no avail as Maxwell also went soon than expected as he was looking in good touch scoring 4 boundaries in his innings....Soon two guys got out cheaply scoring 0 and 6, but Watson had to maintain the run rate....He soon reached his amazingly placed innings of 100 as the situation was very hard for Watson to get runs as he was playing around his partners....

2015-03-16_00002.jpg
At the time Johnson was in the RPO was at 12...So runs had to be scored and wickets also were in check for the team which was really difficult but Johnson with his strong are and swing scored quick runs and Watson laid back a bit to give Johnson go aggressive...SA were just frustrated at Johnson scoring those many runs and that too quickly...But to SA advantage Watson ended a very crucial innings of 119 off 93 balls..

2015-03-16_00003.jpg

But at this time leaving Australia to score about 130 runs remaining to score off 15 overs , though the run rate was achievable in these days only 2 wickets remaining was really a concern for Australia....Though SA were confident of a win with Watson gone, Johnson continued his slog as he was the only hope to get the majority runs in the chase which was really required at that stage, and Johnson reached his much deserved 50...

2015-03-16_00004.jpg

Going at a brilliant pace the RPO soon was within reach but only 2 wickets remaining was still a difficult target...After some time they reached 100 partnership which was much needed, the first in the innings..

2015-03-16_00007.jpg

Majority of scoring was don in 41-45 overs as almost all overs went for 12-13 runs each, thus making the RPO to 9.5..And the last 3 overs 29 runs were required, managed to score 9 in that over and 10 in the next and in the last over first ball over the point fielder for a 4, so it was 6 off 5, next ball straight to a fielder, next one a well directed bouncer making it 6 from 3 ,then he bowled a wide of off stump, hit in the point region which was vacant managed 3 of it, next delivery on the legs flicked to fine leg for a 2 and a bouncer for the last ball managed to get that much more required single and clinching on a victory....

2015-03-16_00009.jpg

2015-03-16_00011.jpg

The much deserving Johnson got the MOM for his 51/2 and well played 92 off 53 balls... Was really a great experience though was a very nail biting finish and you do feel the pressure to score those runs..This one reason is enough for 10/10 for this awesome game....:D

@funnyadit Great stuff but you need to sort out your mods! And where was Steyn for South Africa?

@funnyadit Great stuff but you need to sort out your mods! And where was Steyn for South Africa?
I did not concentrate on the bowlers as I was more focused on batting and as for mods I am waiting for Snowy to release his collection of all the teams..So will be easier to add then...[DOUBLEPOST=1426652764][/DOUBLEPOST]Maybe today I will sort out the lineups for all the teams with the current WC squad and stick on to that...

So I started the next ODI match in the tour, this time Australia won the toss and chose to bat first..Openers were slow to start with along with a few boundaries in the powerplay but Warner really struggled for runs but got out missing out to view the change in field hitting a shot straight to third man...But was a good partnership of 40 for the first wicket...
Funny moment from the game...Finch hit a aggressive shot straight which was very well timed and it hit his face...Might have got away with little bruises...

2015-03-18_00003.jpg 2015-03-18_00005.jpg

In came Watson seemed more confident hitting quick runs everything off the middle, without and slog shots just placing them in gaps mostly in the mid wicket region...Finch on the other side was similar to Warner, struggling but he stuck in the crease just by rotating his strike and giving it to Watson who was hitting them very well...Soon Phangiso bowled a beautiful arm ball that just came in with angle and Watson got beaten and was a plumb LBW and gone for well played 47...And the next ball goes Clarke by ball hitting the legs and rolling on the stumps...At 92/3 next came in Bailey and now a partnership was really crucial as SA were on top at this point of the match, Finch reached his patient half century...

2015-03-18_00001.jpg

Bailey, Finch played very well for a very good partnership of 89 out of which Bailey had scored 46 another batsman getting out in their 40's...But after that neither Maxwell nor Haddin could score big and stick with Finch who was looking in good touch , both gone cheaply.....Next came in Faulkner who was scored a few boundaries up front and was going well hitting a few sixes off Phangiso and Duminy who were bowling in the 40-50 over slot, weird but AI hopefully will think think properly after the Patch....;)
After a long stay at the crease Finch finally reached his much deserved century....

2015-03-18_00007.jpg

Soon Finch got out edging one to WK off Phangiso and Faulkner also followed him, and the tailenders got out slogging in the final overs...Finishing with the score of 271 all out off 49 overs...

And you(Finch) made Farhan Behardien to eat the ball?

And you made Farhan Behardien to eat the ball?
Actually it was a catch, but the shot was well timed and it flew to him before the catch animation came in...Was really funny to see that...:D

Poor Behardien,,,I wonder how long it lasted,(the ball on his mouth) on his mouth! must've been funny indeed

So in response to Australia score of 271, SA had a good target to chase..

SA did not get a good start as they lost an early wicket, but Amla looked in good touch getting his half century at a good pace...

2015-03-21_00004.jpg
Faf came in after the early wicket loss and were brilliant together creating a partnership of 100 at less than run a ball , both reaching very good scores...

2015-03-21_00006.jpg
Soon Faf reached his fifty as well also at a good strike rate...The pitch seemed very good to bat on...

2015-03-21_00008.jpg
After reaching a brilliant partnership of over 150, Faf got out to a nicely bowled drift delivery for a well played innings of 70...

2015-03-21_00010.jpg
At this stage Amla was in his 90's and in came ABD...Soon Amla reached his 100..

2015-03-21_00012.jpg
ABD got out soon trying to hit a ball straight just to edge to WK..And next to come was Duminy who gave a very good company with Amla who reached his century...Both had a very good partnership...Runs were coming at a good pace...After a while Amla got out at 124 mistiming a Square cut straight to the fielder...

2015-03-21_00013.jpg
Duminy was well settled and was scoring art a great pace, boundaries were flowing and that made him reach his 50 off 39 balls...

2015-03-21_00020.jpg
Just 12 runs required now and lots of over left it was just too easy for a win but Duminy got out when only 4 runs were remaining to win as he tried finishing it off with a boundary....And the next batsman came in , remaining runs were scored easily...

2015-03-21_00022.jpg

Was a really well played chase by SA as they won it with over 5 overs remaining...So far its been a win for each team making the next match more interesting...:)

Rebel League match 2 contd - Aus Rebels v SA XI

So Australia start their second innings 115 runs behind South Africa. Van der Bijl and Jefferies again take the new ball, and Jefferies strikes in his first over, clean bowling Greg Shipperd to leave the Aussies on 4-1
b0HsGgc.jpg

A couple of overs later Jefferies strikes again, taking a sharp caught & bowled chance to send John Dyson packing and leaving Australia reeling on 11-2
mFuy9sH.jpg

Captain Kim Hughes joined opener Steve Smith in the rebuilding job and together they steadied the ship, putting on a 50 partnership from 69 balls.
1t2GBwn.jpg

The two pushed on, and Smith reached his 50 off 85 balls.
tC4dORi.jpg

The rebuilding job was slow, however, and with a third of the innings gone Australia were still 4 runs in deficit on 111-2
Df9ODbC.jpg

Smith fell shortly after, caught by Van der Bijl at short fine leg off the bowling of Mike Procter as a quick bouncer got big on him and he mistimed the pull to put the score on 118-3.
j26nX87.jpg

Wessels joined Hughes, and shortly after Hughes reached the milestone of his second 50 of the match, this one coming up off 100 balls.
y82cVQR.jpg

Australia were in front now, and the key was to see what target they could set. South Africa benefited from Rice and Le Roux bowling economically in tandem but the batsmen weren't being shifted and the Hughes/Wessels partnership passed 50.

Procter brought himself and Jefferies - the two wicket takers - back into the attack; the move paid quick dividend as he found a perfect late-swinging Yorker to clean up Wessels' off stump and send him back to the hutch for 30. Australia were 4 down for 193 - a lead of just 85 with the innings well over half-way through.
xmTSzJq.jpg

bvByT4F.jpg

With Haysman joining Hughes and helping him to push the score along, and his seamers tiring and less effective, Procter repeated his first innings tactic of using the part-time spin of Peter Kirsten. Kirsten did slow the rate a little and in his fourth over enticed Haysman to go for a big shot where he found only Clive Rice at long-on to depart for 23 off 40.
5lIupPr.jpg

Very shortly after, Hughes reached his 100, a brilliant innings and making no mistake this time after falling in the 90s in the first innings.
6SPy0Lv.jpg

Supported by Trevor Hohns who scored 39 from 79, Hughes denied the South Africans any further breakthrough as he finished unbeaten on 127 with the final score being 308-5 a lead of 193.

South Africa then will bat last needing 194 to win, a score that should be eminently gettable on a decent pitch, with a very strong batting lineup.

Rebel League Match 2 cont'd: Aus Rebels v SA XI
South Africa were left needing 194 to win. The pitch was still decent, and they had almost the whole of the fifth day to make it so they were very strong favourites.

The chase got off to the worst possible start, with Barry Richards falling to the final ball of the second over, clean bowled by Terry Alderman for 4 to put the score on 8-1.
aWmrc9H.jpg

Cook and Kirsten looked to have put the early shock behind them, successfully negotiating the next few overs. However, McCurdy found a bit of extra bounce and induced Cook to edge to Rixon to go for 13 with the score now 24-2.
O9iHGlE.jpg

Disaster followed, Pollock edging his first ball on to his pads and seeing it ricochet onto his stumps: the South African legend out bowled Alderman for a golden duck and South Africa in desperate trouble at 25-3.
ms67qto.jpg

McCurdy and Alderman were matching each other blow for blow, and Kirsten was the next to go lbw bowled McCurdy for 9 and the score was 27-4
r423UCz.jpg

There may have been no demons in the pitch, but there were plenty in the minds of the batsmen as first innings centurion Clive Rice also went lbw bowled McCurdy for just 1 with the chase crumbling at 29-5.
vH3aQgB.jpg

With Procter also falling to a catch from Hogg off Alderman for just 5, the first ten overs of the innings were completed with the remarkable score of 43-6.
NlAUUFU.jpg

South Africa bat deep, and with Seef and Jennings and the wicket and Le Roux still to come the game was not over yet, but they needed to consolidate. They were beginning to do just that until Seef misjudged the line of one from Trevor Hohns and was lbw trying to work the ball into a gap on the leg side for 19, with the score now 59-7 and still 135 needed.

7qkHwQ9.jpg

Le Roux joined Jennings and this partnership was surely South Africa's last chance. There were gaps in the field as Australia went for the kill with attacking fields, and with so long left in the day mere survival was no good to South Africa, they needed to attack and put pressure back on Australia. Counter-attacking to good effect, Jennings and Le Roux were able to bring up their 50 partnership in just 46 balls.
PJPqCQr.jpg

The two were looking very comfortable and had got to within 64 of the target when Jennings was late on a cut shot against Alderman giving Rixon a simple catch behind the stumps for the bowler's 4th wicket to send Jennings back for 44 with the score now 130-8.
MhSGEZo.jpg

Stephen Jefferies joined Le Roux, and Le Roux farmed the strike with Jefferies resolutely blocking every ball he faced as Le Roux went through to his second 50 of the match - great going for a number 9!
G7wntqT.jpg

0A9f4kt.jpg

The pattern continued of Jefferies blocking and Le Roux looking to score. Le Roux had taken his score to 63 when McCurdy got one through to knock him over - with 33 left to make and South Africa down to their 10 and 11 - both out for a duck in the first innings - Australia sniffed victory.
TJFK3iC.jpg

Van der Bijl got off his pair with a four through extra cover, but edged his second ball... just short of point. His third ball was edged too, but unbelievably put down at second slip to see him survive the over - 29 runs left to get.

Jefferies and Van der Bijl were looking to score when they could - the attacking fields left some hittable gaps - but the timing was off and the boundaries were very hard to come by and the 1's and 2's on offer brought the target down slowly.

With 15 to get, Van der Bijl got yet another life when his third edge was put down at gully - Australia looked determined to throw this away.

With South Africa needing 6 and Jefferies on strike to Alderman, the end of the match was surely in sight. A big shot over mid-on brought up a 4 and a single followed next ball to leave the scores level.

Alderman steamed in to Van der Bijl who looked to force the ball through the vacant cover region... Unfortunately for him he found only the 4th edge of his innings and this time Rixon made no mistake in snaffling the catch to end the match in an incredible tie.
bw1g9qd.jpg

It was an amazing final innings - South Africa were huge favourites at the start but the implosion of their top order seemed to throw their chance of victory away. The strong rearguard action from Jennings and Le Roux and then their final pair gave them a sniff of a remarkable turnaround, but ultimately the tie was probably not an unfair result.

Australia will feel they should have won but ultimately paid the price for not scoring quickly enough in either innings which would have left South Africa with a bigger target. South Africa will feel that after a big first innings lead and with a very gettable target they should have done much better.

Kim Hughes was awarded the Man of the Match for his scores of 97 and 127*.

Had an absolute bizarre match, had never had this kind of match were i scored so much with one batsman were as every one else struggles to get double figures, i mean i have had matches were i totally bombed as a whole but this was just crazy.
Just hope this doesn't happen tomorrow,

Ind vs Aus Legend difficulty simmed bowling and aus scored a mammoth and realistic 341, planned to see off the first 15 overs get around 120 by 25 th over then accelerate, but after seeing off first 5 overs nothing went to plan as hazzlewod n starc struck removing the openers from then on it was complete disaster including a DRS hiccup [bugged] runout of MSD only kohli somehow had survived the carnage, just as we thought were heading for a humiliating defeat kohli stood up, he batted n batted with ydav often farming the strike dealing in doubles and boundaries protecting against starc n johnson and the bandwagon rolled on, may be at the 30 over mark there was a sliver of an outside chance of a miracle to happen but the runrate was always heading higher as match went on and then suddenly out of nowhere yadav got caught at deep fine leg pulling hazzlewood had no idea why i payed that. Kohli upped the ante hit every bowler from starc to johnson reaching his 150 then going to 176 when it finally ended by edging on to his stumps going for a straight hit against johnson, ind still fell a 100 short of aus but kohli played a gem of an innings, if only someone else stood up with him.
