I guess it would'nt be a big deal. And the CSk management have said that they would'nt force Hussey to play this year's IPL. They have said that participating in it is his decision. So, this should'nt cause any problems.

Good that he opted for some rest. He shouldn't injure himself playing the IPL. Especially with the T20 world cup coming up.

I can't see them winning it if everyone else is going to have been playing 2 months of T20 against each other then a load of guys come fresh into the team without that experience.

Pakistan also surely must feel the pinch having no one. Can't really see beyond india retaining it this year, and australia were in with a shout having so many good IPL players.

I can understand him opting out of T20 but i also read somewhere that he's also opting out of the series against Pak. Pretty unusual. Anyways, if he thinks the rest can end his slump ahead of the ashes, then props to him.

Well the Ashes series is more on their mind than the T20 Cup..so I think a good decision by Hussey.

I don't think CSK's IPL journey this year will be at all smooth. Oram uncertain, Hussey gone. Two pillars of the team are out. Let's see how MSD handles this situation. As the wind is clearly not blowing in CSK's direction.

Pillars? Oram barely played last year and Hussey left before the halfway mark. Both would struggle to make the team anyways.

CSK will manage without Hussey. We reached the finals inspite of Hayden and Hussey pulling out halfway. This time, we have Hayden. Even if Oram doesnt play, its ok. We will get replacements if any or we might even manage to play without them.
