Should KP and Flintoff have played the IPL?

Should KP and Flintoff have gone to the IPL?

Christ almighty, does every single bloody thread have to turn into an IPL vs Domestic Cricket rant? Have we not been thru this enough times?? Really has anyone posted anything new?

I said I wouldn't have had them play IPL, maybe I should have expanded my answer to include my opinion that I probably wouldn't have had them play in County Cricket either. I might have let them have a couple of controlled runouts depending on what the England coaching staff thought was best for them. I certainly wouldn't have given them free reign to play a hectic schedule.

I can really see Kev in his avatar now.

Bangalore lost because KP left in between....:mad :crying

Guys can we please get back on topic*, enough about the bloody IPL v domestic cricket. This thread is about whether KP and Flintoff should have risked playing in the IPL with the Ashes and WC coming up, nothing more. Any more posts debating whether the IPL is real cricket or not will be deleted.

The choice was never between county cricket or the IPL, a rest is a rest. What I'm saying is that they perhaps should have taken a rest from all cricket in the leadup to the West Indies series, especially with such a crowded schedule coming up, and as Kev said, complaints about too much travelling.

About the Bird!
What about the bird?

In hindsight no.

Realistically yes. What happened for Bopara could have happened to Pietersen or Flintoff.

Have you not heard? It was my understanding that everyone had heard.
