Story Mickey 'Flawless' Diamond: A Coach's Story

Nice start to the story, Brent. Keep it up. :)

The Score Card Seems to be like cricinfo scorecard...the template is same to same of cricinfo.:yes

Nice work, the scorecard needs a slight bit of work, just check how many times you press tab.

I actually spent about three hours trying to get the bloody thing perfect, lol. I think the only way to have it perfectly perfect is in Courier New.

Results of the Kent game up tonight!

I loved the way you presented the scorecard in that update GC. Well done!

Two-from-two for Diamond
Gloucestershire have won their second match under new coach Michael Diamond, this time their twelfth game in the Friends Provident t20 Championship, also marking their second win in the competition.

Solid performances with ball and bat ensured a comfortable win for Gloucestershire, who calmly chased down their target of 146, losing just four wickets, with 89 runs before losing a wicket, more than half the total they needed for victory.

Diamond's arrival has been a huge morale booster for the last-placed Gloucestershire, who seem a completely different side than the team we have seen all season. Aside from bringing in a new wicketkeeper in Ben Cox, and dumping several players "past their use-by date", Diamond has not made many major changes to the side, which leaves us wondering why they have been performing so badly.

Your presentation is clean and the scorecard is fantastic. Just one suggestion to you is that to place a picture of the player who turned out to be good. Doesn't take a lot of time, neither does it affect the storyline but it certainly makes the update attractive. :)

I can see that you are really trying hard with the scorecard. Have you tried using Excel, it wouldn't take long to make a template, and then you can simply copy across the scores every time you need it.

Gloucestershire strike again

Batty hits four of his 81 runs

Just three games into his coaching career, Michael Diamond has led Gloucestershire to three consecutive wins, this time picking up another FP t20 win over Surrey, thanks to a literally smashing 81 from veteran wicket-keeper Jonathan Batty.

Strong bowling performances from James Franklin (3-34) and David Stiff (3-22) in particular saw Surrey lose all ten wickets inside 18 overs, giving the hosts a target of 151 to chase down with their allotted 20 overs. It took 13 overs for Surrey to take their first wicket, after a match-defining 105-run stand between openers Batty and Chris Dent, the former scoring 81 of the partnership's 105 before his wicket fell.

Franklin, who was greatly suffering for form for the season, has shone under new coach Michael Diamond, playing a major role in each of his team's three wins under their new coach, who is aptly named, 'Flawless.' The team, until their coaching change, had managed just one victory for the t20 season, have won their last two matches with supreme ease, holding Kent to just 146, as well as today's performance, keeping Surrey to 150.

The key to their victories, as well as the strong bowling, are the completely calm and capable performances from the batsmen, who have managed to chase down their targets with such ease it appears they're all completely different players.

Much better scorecard, and it still looks pretty professional.

Quite a strong Kent side there, how did they manage to sign KP and Hamilton-Brown, Rory is definitely one of the brighter lights in the future of English cricket.

It has to be a typo, that's definitely the Surrey side.

EDIT: Actually yeah, IF you had read it further that is the only place where it says 'Kent' everything else is Surrey.

Haha, damn and because it's a picture I can't go in and edit it. Yeah, it's Surrey :(

I like to rush a little too much methinks

I'm surprised that they didn't play Harinath, he's quite a good player IMO. (I'm slightly biased because him and his brother went to my school.)
