Thats a great technology.. why dont they put them in most of the microhpones.. :

Because most people are cheapskapes and buy the absolute worst thing they can find to save money. It's worth it getting a decent headset for both listening to music (my headset has nice cushions embedded on it and you can't hear anything around you) and speaking on the microphone (very good sound quality).

Its been around for a long long time mate. Only thing is that it is a lot more expensive (relatively speaking) than the run of the mill stuff you often get free with a new computer :

You hardly notice mics at the shops and most people don't use it that much.

Like me, I'll hardly ever use it but mainly use it just for fun.
