On this thread we can talk about what?s going on the Middle East part of the world right now. I Hope it al calms down and we rally don't have a war, and it looks like we will.

Bush in a statement said ?Israel has a right to defend itself?, my question is only Israel has rights to defend itself no other country?

It's probably obvious that if let uncontrolled, the thread will descend to invective barrages. Let's just say that first, attacking any other person personally will get the thread closed and second, any statement that looks as if it needs authentication will have to be followed by a link to a reputable site validating the statement.

On my part, I think if Syria doesn't get involved, this will just be like the 1996 episode.

USA spend billions on Israel, he's hardly going to say otherwise.

Israel in a sense have a right to fight back, but A) Why didn't they ask UN? B) Why are they targetting civillian targets miles away from Military situations?

The current political situation, not just in middle east, but everywhere in the world is so vulnerable, yet interesting.

There is not much reaction from the west, who are currently busy with N. Korean missile tests, and the G-8 meet.

1st have to say there will be no 3rd WORLD WAR, at least not for next 100 years, cuz every country is looking for developement and WAR means destruction and enemity, and for development u need to became frds not to invlolve in war.

2nd its usual problem problem in middle east like we have of kashmir in india

3rd every developed country needs Petrol and Middle East is the Biggest Source of it, so they wanna rule Middle countries.

Well, I can see this thread spiralling out of control, hopefully staff members will just delete hateful posts instead of closing the thread.

I got into an argument with somebody on another forum about this topic a few years back. He started calling me a terrorist and started making hateful comments about me everywhere in the forum. I eventually left the forum. This should give you guys an idea of how overzealous people can be, so please think before you post in this thread.

I won't take sides here, but I will say this. The violence is getting out of hand, and countries around the world need to step in, otherwise this could turn into an all out war.

i gotta agree where certainly due one and all the countries seem to be undergoing a power struggle to say they have the best weapons. . . why can't we all jus live peacefully

There was a stat that came up on the news.

Israeli rocket attacks (In this recent engagement) have killed ten times as many as the Hezbellah rocket attacks.

This was before tonights attacks though.

so far, its going good.

I don't think the West, and the UN can do much about it, for now. Only the US can put pressure on Israel to pull out troops, both from the lebanon attacking areas and the gaza strip. Its such a volatile area, these things are prone to happen.

Peacekeeping forces are of no use either.

Neither side seems to want to co-operate either. Which doesn't help matters obviously.

Thats something very bad, all peoples r not same,

Thats true some peoples always think about their religions and they thinks that their religion is the only one which is pure and best and they can do evrything for their religion,

But talking about me I live in india, I have some good frds from pakistan and i met them in chat rooms, they r nice to talk.

So dont comment like that on others and dont make partialities
