Middle East crisis

Bloody middle east again.

I saw one guy on tv with blood and stuff and he was injured running out a bombed building yelling out "god is great, blah blah blah"....what????

I wish we could just push the middle east to out of space or something, sorry if it sounds racist but im sick of all this conflict.

well dude, if we, who sit on the sofa leisurely and watch the happenings on the TV and get that sick...

imagine how people in the middle-east, and other regions that are suffering from terrorism and other issue feel? The least we can do is to hope for the best. If possible, we can do something to heal few people's agony by helping in someway or other.

But from the political point of view, this will be a serious issue. You can go back to any history, WWI or WWII, and it was these silly/small issues that turned out into huge one's.

Yeah Stevo imagine if there was a war here you would'n t be that bored. It all started adges ago. With history eople do not know about. Just imagine how other people feel in wars. How can you push something away it has to be solved

1st have to say there will be no 3rd WORLD WAR, at least not for next 100 years, cuz every country is looking for developement and WAR means destruction and enemity, and for development u need to became frds not to invlolve in war.

The technology develops faster during time of war due to the fact countries pour so much money into building better and stronger weapons. Most of the times the technology they learn can be put to use in different ways during peace.

3rd every developed country needs Petrol and Middle East is the Biggest Source of it, so they wanna rule Middle countries.

Sorry how is that an argument against there being a WW3?

Steveo I need to ask, do you know the reasons behind the current conflict between Israel and Lebanon (Hezbollah)? Because that seems to be a very misinformed statement on the issue.

Its also worst when there is war even in any country, lot of innocent peoples have to lose their lives, we dont need war and whole world knows this.

If there will be war in middle east every country will be effected cuz its the main source of petrol and the petrol prices will rise higher and higher.

Now i defend Steve's right to be frustrated and sick of a Terrible confilct. It's a very understandable emotion. It's a very difficult issue in the middle east, and at times i have to feel sorry for Isreal surrounded by hostile countries, but being illegally on Palestinian land(Un resolution in 1967)does not help.In the current conflict between Lebenon,Isreal and Palestine is regrettable, and i think it was an incredibly foolish thing to do,from the point of Hesbulah(or should i say the people of Lebenon,as it's prolly exactly what Hesbulah wanted),but i also think Isreal is overly aggressive in these situations, and for all it's pleading of not meaning to hit Civilians with it's rockets,it does it way to much to be believable.

Unfortunately this situation just won't disappear,it won't be fixed easily, and watchers around the world should try and look at the situation through clear spectacle's not tinted ones.

Let me tell you, this isn't the entire middle east. Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and UAE are all very peaceful and happy :)

It truly is a terrible situation. Israel knows that the Lebanese government have no control over Hezbollah. Religion plays such a big role in daily life in the middle east and it's the same in Lebanon. The Lebanese government can't send the army to disarm Hezbollah since they are a shia group and with 70% of the Lebanese army being shia such a move can cause massive rifts in the army possibly leading to a civil war.

It has been pretty obvious from day 1 that Israel's intention was not to put Hezbollah out of business or recover the captured soldiers. Their main aim has been to destroy Lebanon and so far they are succeeding with little or no criticism from the outside world and particularly the reaction from George W Bush has been pathetic.

I just hope that Israel succeed in destroying Hezbollah and if they do then all the suffering happening in Lebanon now would have been all worth it.

The thing is though jdbais, in this latest conflict most (80% minimum) of the dead have been civillians.

It's a horrible situation, our navy ships are carrying out evacuations now, it's the biggest since Dunkirk apparently.

But Israel have already gone this far, so they might as well finish off the job.

I am of Lebanese background by the way and have lived over there for about 3 years and don't support and never have supported Hezbollah or its actions.

It's amazing and very sad that so many Lebanese (usually shia) still support them. They are holding the whole country to ransom and despite promising the Lebanese government recently that they would not cause any flare ups with Israel to at least the end of the tourist season they have not been able to show restraint and have let the whole country down.

They are continually destabilising the country with their actions and their destruction will finally bring true peace to Lebanon.

Bush in a statement said ?Israel has a right to defend itself?, my question is only Israel has rights to defend itself no other country?
I've got news for you all, Israel has been under attack for years and years and when someone walks into a family pizzeria with a bomb strapped to his chest does he intend to hurt civillians? So if Israel shouldn't be pissed off after over 10 years of this then you try and have it here. We are lucky we don't have the conflict of Israel and Lebanon happening around here Stevo so before you make stupid comments and then try and twist your own words spare a thought for everyone who dies every day in Lebanon and Israel when they just wanted to grab a bite to eat with their kids, ro go to the movies or even sit at home and watch the news.

The point is that both sides seem more eager to kill civilians to show their "strength" or whatever. Israel seems to follow the philosophy of unleashing many times as brutal acts of violence as they've faced on their "enemies" - and this strategy has thus far failed to provide any tangible results over the last 60 years. Maybe time to think of something else ? Remember, an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.

I got news for you as well, dude. For years Palestinian kids have been watching their siblings get maimed and killed by rockets and helicopter-gunship fire. People have lost entire families, simply for the reason that they continued to live on the same piece of land as their tribes have been on for two thousand years, and failed to move when America told them to haul their asses from their ancestral property.

Okay, so what happened just now ? you made a highly rhetorical post, and I rebutted it by another rhetorical posting. Did it get us anywhere ? Rhetoric is excellent for rallying people when you can't give them sense, but it gets us only so far in solving the problems in life and politics ...
