Doesn't make sense for there to be a doc and a jailkeeper. This is my stab at the lineup:

I'm not convinced that Manly is mafia but I don't think he's a vanilla townie. I've been leaning towards him as an individual. The question for me is is he harmless (i.e. survivor) or is he dangerous (i.e. serial killer [could be even nights only]).

As it stand these seem to me to be the claims (soft or otherwise):

hedger_14 - vanilla
Aditya - vanilla
Sedition - jailkeeper
Puddleduck - ?
barmyarmy - ?
Manly - vanilla
Simsanta - ?

If we take hedger as being town and I'm personally leaning towards that it follows that one out of Aditya and Manly is possibly lying although there could potentially be 3 or even 4 vanillas.

Some basic mafia maths. This doesn't apply quite so strongly as it would in lylo as hammering can put suspicion onto the person who does it.

Aditya and Simsanta have passed up the chance to hammer. If one of them were mafia and knew Manly to be town they probably wouldn't have done that.

What I need from Manly at this point is a proper defence; "I can't be bothered, I've said what I'm going to and you'll be lynching a townie" doesn't count. I lynched Manly because of his lynch on sedition. I want to see him justify it. If it turns out that he is town and we've mis-lynched then he is guilty of poor play.

Alright, so Manly says that he is a vanilla townie? He's lying. I'm the vanilla townie, I've been hiding this just so in case a mafia role claims, he will have the option of claiming vanilla townie and that's when I'd counter claim.

This is a strange post. Think it's been addressed already bit classic mafia has 3 vanillas and only in role madness are there none so it stands to reason there wouldn't only be one here.

Either you're being altruistic and trying to divert mafia attention or you're being cynical and knowing you're safe by soft claiming as you're mafia yourself. As I've said already doc is highly unlikely to be in the game now.

I also think it's a bit of a false trail to try and divert the mafia kill at this moment as clearly sedition is going to get night killed

Putting it all back on me

Yeah, they seem content to just let an experienced player lead just cause he looks townie like he normally does.

I've learnt to never rule out any possibilities, but like them, barmy is giving me town vibes.

Yeah I'm not the Doctor and have come to the conclusion there isn't one (or have I heh), initially I was intending to run with it whilst seeing who tried to place themselves as vanillas as that would have given me a good idea as to who to consider as a smaller group of potential mafia.... although if I am the doctor, and they do target Sedition, I can stop that night kill whilst they presume he's role blocking me as he said he would? I thought that was a good ploy and just about subtle enough to run with, but you obviously disagree This could have worked, especially because if Sedition was no longer role blocking me, he may actually have hit one of the mafia members, and as such no one gets killed again?

Manly has just seemed not interested from the get-go, which doesn't really tally up with being mafia unless that was his intention to slip through as a silent killer or mafia member? Basically, interesting point about the survivor and silent killer posibilities. I think there could be a survivor in the game, not so sure about silent killer though.

I'd disagree there. It can be a mafia tactic but mafias tend to have over-elaborate defences and claims prepared (I know I do when I'm mafia!)

I think he needs to try and block the mafia killer otherwise he's dead for certain.

I can see Seditions logic then for making it very clear who he will put his role block on, by saying beforehand it's going on me (which I think he did). Firstly, mafia know they can target him, so if they kill him we know I'm town. If he doesn't die, then logic says I'm mafia or they've done something really sneaky? Can they not night kill to try and frame? Although surely just killing Sedition would make most sense anyway? Except I guess if maybe Sedition is mafia, he could claim he's putting a block down and then when no kill occurs he's basically cleared until the end game? There's of course the element that if he targets someone else instead as a bluff then he still ends up dead (unless there is a doc who protects him) and we don't know who he targetted or what really happened.

If Manly is lynched and mafia, I will definitely target you tonight so either way, the town knows if you're clear.

If Manly isn't mafia, then that still leaves 2 and knowing who I'm going to target is rather pointless, so I will just decide random.

Reading through my post again, I realise I'm still confusing the mafia/godfather elements. My problem is I don't know how mafia kills work, so I'm struggling to see through my own fog. Because I guess I could still be mafia even if Sedition dies at night? Doesn't really rule me out at all. Hmm, back to the drawing board again haha I'll come up with something useful at some point I'm sure I have to bare in mind me knowing I'm town doesn't really help
