Moments of the Year?

Kandy 2006 - Day 2
Kamran Akmal's superb century after Pakistan were down 39/6 in Karachi.
Bangladesh dominating Australia for 3 days.
Yousuf's inning at Lord's.

Glenn McGrath taking 6 wickets against England in the first Ashes
test at the Gabba on his return from a 11 month break.
That really shut the critics up - again.

The emergance of Mr.Cricket (Mike Hussey) in Int. test cricket.

Brad Hodge's 203* against the West Indies.

Steve Harmison giving birth to the "Harmi ball" @ the Gabba.

Australia flogging the crap out of the World XI.

England losing to the Aussie Prime Minister's XI by a massive 166 runs.
(laughed my head off when that happened, and I'm still laughing)

Australia finally winning the Champions Trophy.

kamran akmals 113

nothing can beat hitting a 100 when your team really needs it and you dont need it more than when you are 39-6

like geoff boycott said about the innings

"Thats worth a 300 is that!!"

Dizzy getting 200! And finishing the Bangladesh series with the highest batting and lowest bowling average and being dropped afterwald. Must be some kind of record. Definate top!

The NZ/AUS record ODI (Well, the Chappell Hadlee series in general)
then the
The AUS/SA record ODI

I'd also like to add Monty's swashbuckling 20+ at Trent Bridge against Sri Lanka. :)

And Sureshot, any chance of your old Jonesy avatar returning? ;)

If we win an Ashes test this series I will randomly pick one of the winning eleven to have the biggest moment of his career by having his mug in my profile :D

Gotta agree with that one.

Australia finally winning the ICC Champions Trophy
Australia scoring the first ever 400 :D
West Indies beating Aus first in the DLF Cup while making the final then beating Aus in the Champions trophy while also making the Final for that
Stuart Clark's arrival into the international arena first against SA then England

Add to this list Yousuf breaking King Viv's record, along with some other ones in the same match :D

monty, flintoff being named as captain, sri lanka hammering us 5-0, then us drawing with pakistan 2-2, then us doing us save our best performance until we are out of the icc champions trophy

I think the one day match between Australia and South Africa has been my favourite even though we lost the match. I remember sitting up until all hours of the morning watching it until the last ball.

Pathan's hattrick in the opening over of the third Test against Pakistan.

Clark prooving the critics wrong and bowling beautifully at Test level, I think he has been the best "find" for Australia this year. Even today he is still bowling well while there is pressure from other bowlers for his position.

Murali being hit for 0/99 (10) in the VB series by Symonds and Punter

Mick Lewis then beating that record with his fantastic 0/113 (10) against RSA

Dizzy's 200 against Bangladesh

The first ball of the 2006 Ashes :laugh

Stuart Clarke hitting Anderson for two 6's in a row and Brett Lee hitting Flintoff for 4 by ducking a bouncer

The McGrath-Hussey 100 run partnership against South Africa in Melbourne

My vote is a tad patriotic, but im gunna have to say, the berth of Monty Panesar.

Although that was brilliant, we have finally found a spinner worthy to challange test teams....the end to end partnership with Harmy which brought them 17 wickets together was it? Great match!

Edit: Forgot to mention, Mohammed Yousuf of Pakistan. Not just a run machine, he is a three figure specialist!

the famous 5th SA vs AUS 5th ODI
Punters amazing test form/yousufs amazing test form

and one to add to the total which hopefully will happen by the end of the year and I'd say it would have pretty good odds at happening too:
Ponting being the first player to reach 36 centuries (5 innings to get 3 centuries, with the form hes in I'd say its easy for him)
