We at Cricketing World are planning a survey on all aspects of cricket. Ine of the qestions will be 'Most promising Batsman.'

The rules are that they must be 24 or younger and, ideally, not yet established in their respective sides. Fire away!

Should they have had an international match in their kitty? If no, then here are a few Indian batsmen who look promising

Robin Uthapa, Shikar Dhawan, Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan

I think it is Salman Butt, close to him is Kevin peiterson following him is Shoaib Malik.

Shoaib Malik has proved himself to be a very good batsman cum all rounder. The question is about the Most promising batsman who is not yet established in the national side! And is Shoaib Malik less than 24 years old? He doesnt look so!

i would have to say james hildreth is up there, and wes durston. Andrew Cook at essex also has potential.

My bad didnt read the statement very well ;)

Typical fardin isnt it?

Yeah agree with most the suggestions so far, we are planning a shortlist of 10 so that's a good start. AB de Villiers is another fantastic player, he is only 20 but is already a regular for South Africa. But as he fills the age credentials he will probably be featured in the poll. Same goes for Michael Clarke

I'd say Callum Ferguson is the most promising Australian specialist batsman in that age group. Not yet 21, he has 2 First Class centuries and 4 half centuries to his name.

Cameron White has also been coming into his own of late. The 22 year old captain of Victoria has made something of a habit of impressing while playing for Australia A. I think he is proving more of a batsman than a bowler, but his leg spin is quite good.

Hildreth, Michael Clarke, Cook of Essex, Latouf at hants, Bell.

surely clarke has to be out of the running due to the fact that he is pretty set in the test side.
