And the last player, but certainly, not the least, will be my proxy pick. And my side, which has been lacking a keeper till now, will finally get one, and a fine one of that-

Mark Boucher is my last pick, my proxy pick, and my wicket keeper. He was one of the finest wicket keepers to ever play, and just his pure keeping skills puts him above so many others. Born as a South African made him unlucky to not be a World Cup Winner, and a terrible eye injury made him unlucky to not reach the record of 1000 dismissals, leaving him stranded on Triple 9. That completes my side, with 6 bowling options, and batting up to 8-

1. :ind: Sunil Gavaskar :bat:
2. :wi: Sir Gordon Greenidge :bat:
3. :wi: Sir Vivian Richards :bat:
4. :sri: Aravinda de Silva :ar:
5. :aus: Steve Waugh :ar:
6. :aus: Michael Bevan :bat:
7. :pak: Imran Khan :ar: :c:
8. :saf: Mark Boucher :wk:
9. :wi: Malcolm Marshall :bwl:
10. :sri: Muttiah Muralitharan :bwl:
11. :eng: James Anderson :bwl:

A fine test opener along with a great opener of his era in both formats. Followed up by the most stylish ODI batter at 3, SL's WC Hero at 4, two Australian Middle-order giants at 5 and 6 including the best Aussie finisher ever, Fearless Captain and Legendary all-rounder leading the side at No. 7, One of the greatest wicket keepers ever, as a specialist keeper at 8, followed up by a specialist bowling of the greatest spin bowler ever, one of the scary Windies pace giants from the 80s, and the poster-boy of longevity in Test Cricket among fast bowlers. A complete team has been complete.

o for my last pick...I enjoy pace, I live in the fast lane, I grew up with some of the great fast bowlers on my screen, so going with the enigmatic, one of the MVPs of 2019:

Jofra "Greased Lightning" Archer

1. Gilchrist :wkb: :aus:
2. Warner :bat: :aus:
3. M. Waugh :bat::aus:
4. Ponting c :bat::aus:
5. Joe Root :bat::eng:
6. Sobers :ar::wi:
7. Jofra Archer :bwl::eng:
8. Colin Croft :bwl::wi:
9. Mushtaq Ahmed :bwl::pak:
10. Umar Gul :bwl::pak:
11. McGrath :bwl::aus:

wow....I've surprised myself with that!

I have easily the best top 6 out of all the XIs here and a very competitive bowling line up: McGrath arguably the greatest all format bowler of all time sharing the new ball with Crofty, then a serious, serious pacer in ARcher and Gul with all that reverse swing and yorkers. Finally the spin of Mushy and the all round ability of Sobers, a bit of chinaman, a bit of left arm medium, he does it all.

I can't remember which team it was, maybe Cereals team, but theres only one I felt could compete with mine.

After much contemplation on the available options, I decide to pick in someone who is fairly new to the WC but has made the heads turn with breathtaking counterattack and handy off spin. He also brings in the left-right combination to the mix. One of the major players apart from Maxi (also part of my side) to script the unprecedented comeback from the bottom of the table to lift the 2023 World Cup. His ability to switch the tempo according to the format is priceless.

My pick: Travis Head.

1. Roy :bat:
2. Head :ar:
3. Clarke :bat:
4. Yuvraj :ar:
5. ABD :wkb:
6. Maxwell :ar:
7. Kapil Dev :ar:
8. Hogg :ar:
9. Vaas :ar:
10. Starc :bwl:
11. Tait :bwl:

Michael Hussey for me was perfect option to complete the team. That means six bowler will be Gayle not a bad option to have and five aussie which I wanted to avoid but couldn't.

@Aravind. to finish I guess
