My final capped pick is Rassie van der Dussen, who has 7 50s in just 16 ODI innings, scoring an average of 44 runs per innings. Could be a mainstay for South Africa for years, considering the retirement of some senior players last year, even if he’s 31.

@Master Bates

Wanindu Hasaranga

With all the main spinners being already picked, I will take Wanindu. The first and perhaps only Sri Lankan in he draft, he is an upcoming spinner who tosses the bowl up, like Kuldeep but is more quicker and not a big turner. Impressive performances against Pakistan and India in T20Is has proved he is someone Sri Lanka will look at for years to come. Yet to make his Test debut, I think he will do fine in Test Cricket and hence makes my xi. His batting stats show that he is an all rounders although that side of his game ha not shone much in International Cricket.

Let's hope we get to see him batting more, especially in Tests.

Ben Stokes
The fast bowling all rounder from England is my next pick. I am aware of the fact that he is a bit old for this draft but he is 29 and can still play for 7-8 years, or even further if he follows Misbah (which is nearly impossible)

Asad's XI:
1.:ind: Yashasvi Jaiswal :ar:
2.:ind: Prithvi Shaw :bat:
3.:pak: Babar Azam :bat:
4.:pak: Abdullah Shafique :bat:
5.:eng: Tom Banton :wkb:

@CerealKiller
Very obviously an invalid pick!

My next pick has absolutely flown under the radar here. I had him on my list from the very beginning, but I had a hunch that people would forget just how young he still is and forget to pick him. Happily, that has proven to be so and :sri: :wkb: Kusal Mendis will slot in at number four in my team. Although he is prone to being extremely inconsistent, his ceiling is as high as almost anyone else in the world. His maiden Test century, his match-winning 176 against Australia at Pallekele in a match where only one other batsman (Steve Smith, 55) even made a half-century, was generally rated as the greatest Test innings any Sri Lankan had played up until that point. Obviously Kusal Perera has happened since, but still. Since then, he has added half a dozen more Test centuries as his average creeps up towards 40, although admittedly his white-ball batting isn't his strongest suit.

9. :aus: :bwl: Pat Cummins
10. :ind: :bwl: Kamlesh Nagarkoti
11. :nep: :bwl: Sandeep Lamichhane

@CerealKiller has to pick an uncapped player, so I'm getting my guy in now. @Master Bates will pick after him

Chris Green

@CerealKiller
You have to pick at least 3 uncapped players (:slvo:), who are under 25 (as of Feb 10, 2020).
Valid pick but your next pick should also be uncapped but under 25.

This time @Aislabie should rate the teams cause he is the expert.

From my point of view,
1. :saf: :bat: Aiden Markram
2.
3. :aus: :ar: Marnus Labuschagne
4. :sri: :wkb: Kusal Mendis
5. :ind: :bat: Sarfaraz Khan
6. :eng: :wkb: Ollie Pope
7. :saf: :ar: Wiaan Mulder
8. :afg: :ar: Rashid Khan
9. :aus: :bwl: Pat Cummins
10. :ind: :bwl: Kamlesh Nagarkoti
11. :nep: :bwl: Sandeep Lamichhane
A great test team but inexperienced as Kamlesh hasn't played any FC match so far in his career.

An above average ODI team with a great bowling lineup except the fifth/sixth bowlers. Batting has many inconsistent short format players.

Not a T20 team with batting lineup being too inconsistent for this format.

CerealKiller’s XI
1. :slvo: :pak: Haider Ali :bat:
2. :goldo: :wi: Shai Hope :wkb:
3.
4. :goldo: :ind: Shreyas Iyer :bat:
5. :goldo: :saf: Rassie van der Dussen :bat:
6.
7. :goldo: :pak: Shadab Khan :ar:
8. :goldo: :eng: Sam Curran :ar:
9. :goldo: :saf: Kagiso Rabada :bwl:
10. :goldo: :ind: Kuldeep Yadav :bwl:
11. :goldo: :pak: Naseem Shah :bwl:
Average test team because of inexperienced batting and poor Shai Hope, the test cricketer. The bowling is great.

Great ODI side with their bowling being the stronger suit.

Average t20 side with Nadeem Shah's inexperience and Sam Curran's medium pace. Batting has two openers with Shai Hope being more experienced but not a big scorer so No 3 will be important in T20s.

Chris Green

Asad's XI:
1.:ind: Yashasvi Jaiswal :ar:
2.:ind: Prithvi Shaw :bat:
3.:pak: Babar Azam :bat:
4.:pak: Abdullah Shafique :bat:
5.:eng: Tom Banton :wkb:
7.:aus: Chris Green

8.:eng: Jofra Archer :bwl:
9.:pak: Shaheen Afridi :bwl:
10.:ban: Mustafizur Rahman :bwl:
11.:afg: Mujeeb ur Rahman :bwl:

@CerealKiller
Awesome bowling lineup for limited overs with plenty of match winners. Both death bowling and powerplay bowling is covered but Mujeeb is also a powerplay bowler so middle overs might not produce many wickets.

Below average test team with players like Chris Green and Mujeeb and the Fizz not really making it in this format.

Great ODI and T20 side with aggressive openers, a solid no 3 and a good middle order so far (assuming Abdullah is an aggressive batsman). And bowling is mashallah!

Master Bates' all format XI:
02. :ind: :bat: Shubman Gill :goldo:
03. :eng: :bat: Sam Hain :slvo:
05. :aus: :bat: Travis Head :goldo:
06. :ind: :wkb: Rishabh Pant :goldo:
07. :aus: :ar: Cameron Green :slvo:
08. :sri: :ar: Wanindu Hasaranga :goldo:
09. :nzf: :bwl: Ben Lister :slvo:
10. :saf: :bwl: Lungi Ngidi :goldo:
11. :ind: :bwl: Jasprit Bumrah :goldo:

@AsadRM
Poor sixth bowler (so far, Travis Head) and inexperienced pace bowling all-rounder.

Good ODI team with Ngidi, Bumrah, Gill and Head being good enough players. Lister and Hain also have great List A record. Only problem is Cameron Green with his inexperience.

Average test team with inexperienced batting and bowling. Hain has an average overall record in the format but did good in county 2019.

Good t20 team with established players like Bumrah, Ngidi, Head, Pant etc. And other players are also not bad.

Janneman Malan
Since most of the openers are already being taken, I will make a bit left-field selection and pick younger brother of Porter Malan. With a fabulous record in all three formats, I feel he will be a great player to watch out for. Played 2 T20Is already and is a great prospect. Aggressive batsman, let's see what the future has for him!

Master Bates' all format XI:
01. :saf: :bat: Janneman Malan :goldo:
02. :ind: :bat: Shubman Gill :goldo:
03. :eng: :bat: Sam Hain :slvo:
05. :aus: :bat: Travis Head :goldo:
06. :ind: :wkb: Rishabh Pant :goldo:
07. :aus: :ar: Cameron Green :slvo:
08. :sri: :ar: Wanindu Hasaranga :goldo:
09. :nzf: :bwl: Ben Lister :slvo:
10. :saf: :bwl: Lungi Ngidi :goldo:
11. :ind: :bwl: Jasprit Bumrah :goldo:

@CerealKiller you have two pick uncapped picks now. Remember that they should be under 25 years (as of Feb 10).

Very touch choice this one as it would have decided that which format is my team stronger at. In the end, I choose Limited Overs and Nicholas Pooran.

Azam Khan will be my last pick. He has really impressed me in the HBL PSL 2020 so I have decided to pick him up.

In my opinion, this is a very balanced team for limited overs. Prithvi Shaw and Jaiswal give me an excellent opening combination. The skipper Babar Azam will then take responsibility on his shoulders with an exciting batsman i.e Abdullah Shafique, they both will be going at strike rates of 90-100 (in ODIs). Banton and Azam give me excellent lower order hitting and will make it tough for opposition bowlers. The good thing about these two is that they aren't brainless sloggers. They are quite calm and know how to handle the pressure and play according to the situation. Chris Green and Archer can also hit a few slogs and will contribute to the scoreboard too.

The bowling line-up is pretty much the way I wanted it to be except that Shadab Khan was already picked by @CerealKiller and later even Hasaranga wasn't available . Shadab would have provided some sensible batting at number 7 and taken a few wickets in the middle overs. Nevertheless, Archer, Shaheen and Mustafizur will be excellent bowling options early on in the innings and at the death too. Mujeeb and Green will also contribute and help the team. Jaiswal is also a very good 6th bowling option.

Babar will be my side's skipper. I did think about him or Jaiswal but obviously decided to go with the former as he is the national side's captain, so he has an edge. Whereas, Jaiswal hasn't even made his international debut.
Asad's LOIs XI:
1.:ind: Yashasvi Jaiswal :ar:
2.:ind: Prithvi Shaw :bat:
3.:pak: Babar Azam :bat: :c:
4.:pak: Abdullah Shafique :bat:
5.:eng: Tom Banton :wkb:
6.:pak: Azam Khan :wkb:

7.:aus: Chris Green :ar:
8.:eng: Jofra Archer :bwl:
9.:pak: Shaheen Afridi :bwl:
10.:ban: Mustafizur Rahman :bwl:
11.:afg: Mujeeb ur Rahman :bwl:

In the end, I would like to thank @Master Bates for allowing me to be a part of this wonderful draft. I look forward to revisiting this a few years down the road and see who picked the best squad as we will get to know all these players very well.
