Okay, not this coin. I don't know heads or tails on a Yen. But it will be a coin. Yes, you have a 50% chance of getting your player and a 50% chance of losing him. So, do you nominate a good player and hope you get him? Nominate someone useless and not get him?
Signups will work a little differently here. Because I'll be looking to have the player pool ready before I start, I'll be getting all participants, rather than signing up in the thread, to either PM me here or DM me on Discord to join - with their list of 11 players. Oh, yeah, speaking of that list of 11 players: to ensure I don't get 10 Sachins or 10 Vizzys, the list must include:
1. A wicketkeeper as the 1st player on the list; nominating multiple glovemen is allowed, but the first round will be keepers only in order to ensure no sides are broken.
2. At least four bowling options (all rounders or specialist bowlers).
3. No more than three players from the same nationality.
4. At least one player must be Australian, and have under 10 Test caps
5. At least one player must have played in the IPL
6. At least one player must have a hat-trick at a first class level
7. At least one 1990s Pom, in honour of some of the greats of PC history (for good nominations, check Aislabie's cricket captain thread. for funny ones, check who England actually picked).
8. At least one associate.
9. At least one player who lost an ODI World Cup final; this may overlap with any other category except associate because that isn't actually possible
Really, that's all the rules other than that this is over a Test format. Get DMing, please! I can't wait to see some of the names who have been picked.
