Mouseydread's Cricket 19 Creations

Uploaded Pakistan 1992-94

Here are the "bad boys" of early to mid nineties cricket. Match fixing allegations, bans, suspensions, ball tampering, dark plots , cricketing political intrigue and exciting winning cricket.

This team contains many players from the victorious 1992 World Cup winning team. They won 4 of 5 away test series in this span, losing one to their nemesis West Indies who were coming to the end of their great run.

Included here are the squad who beat England in England in 1992 when Waqar, Wasim and Aqib Javed made headlines and Javed Miandad was at his brilliant best.

This is Javed Miandad's last era team and he is captain. There are over 20 players here, Inzy is pure @Spoobir , I think Moin, Aquib Javed, Sohail, I got from somewhere, @blockerdave , @DalePlaysSports ? All credit to them. Wasim who i've tweaked, I'm not sure but will give credit when I find out the user, the rest I believe are mine.

Great talent here, some wasted too, this was an era where some of these players got banned for match fixing. However Salim Malik, Inzamam, Wasim Akkram, Basit Ali, Waqar Younis, Mushtaq Ahmed, Ijaz Ahmed, Saaed Anwar, Shoaib Mohammad, Aquib Javed, Moin Khan, Ramiz Raja, Rashid Latif, are all here and make up a formidable if a little shady bunch of exciting cricketers.

Special Thanks to @Llewelynf for the uniforms and logos, @wasteyouryouth and too many others to mention for their inspiration!I

The greatest team Pakistan had is officially here thanks to @Mouseydread

A lot of the talent from the early nineties team is still here, but is joined by new blood, all rounder Azhar Mahmood, Abdul Razzaq, Saqlain Mushtaq the inventor of the Doosra, big hitting Shahid Afridi, and The "Rawalpindi Express" himself, Shoaib Akhtar.

At the end of 1997 Pakistan put together a squad for the ages to take on the touring West Indies, and trounced the Windies 3-0 in a 3 match series. Most of that group would in two years play in the 1999 World Cup where they finished runners up.

Following the end of the West Indies series they would draw in South Africa an excellent achievement in itself, and cap 3 Test series undefeated run with victory over Zimbabwe. This was a turbulent time too with defeats to all the major test playing nations over the following 12 months. So this team is included not for their greatness but what should have been and for the excitement using this team taking on South Africa and Australia in this golden era of cricket. . Has Pakistan ever put so much talent on the field at once?

For pace, you have Wasim , Waqar and Shoaib, for spin, who would you pick, Mushtaq Ahmed or Saqlain Mushtaq? Batting? Inzy and Ijaz, Sohail, Saaed Anwar? keeping Moin Khan or Rashid Latif? allrounders, Shahid Afridi? young Abdul Razzaq? or Azhar Mahmood? Can you get a tune out of some of the young talent like Mohammad Yousuf? Maj Wasti, or the frustrating Mohammad Wasim.

Many thanks to @Spoobir scanned playfaces @DalePlaysSports for their creations here, the rest with the exception of Wasim are mine.

This is AWESOME!!!! Struggling to contain the new content

Hi @Mouseydread quick heads up that in your NZ 80s squads you appear to have Jeremy Coney as a fast bowler. He wouldn’t have qualified as fast if he shot it out of a cannon... more a medium.

Have changed mine locally but thought you might want to update.

Cheers

These set of players were my all time favourite. Openers, middle order, Wicketkeepers, All rounders, spin bowlers and fast bowlers all in abundance. Just wish they had won more major trophies in their time.

Maybe if the T20 world cup had come around earlier then they might have won a couple lol.
